I've been extremely busy with my house so cars haven't been getting much love lately :-(

This car had another electrical problem :-( my right rear curtesy light did not work, end up being broken wire at connector.

Thanks to Mike now I got good hand brake rubber gator :-)

Almost forgot that I took it to Monterey for Concours D' Lemons and that was 400 hard miles trip, lots and lots 7600 RPM pulls :-) and of course next day back to daily driving.

I was on the way home from work on Saturday morning stuck behind semi for few minutes where all the sudden 6 foot ladder appeared and there was no way avoiding it :-( I swerved to left to avoid it and end up hitting it and running it over with front right wheel. I pulled over right away and figured my rim and oil pan get damaged, but but likely only the fog lamp bezel got the worst of it.  With how low my car is I'm surprised that I got away with it so clean.

O yeah I got it loaded again this weekend :-) I just ❤️ this car.

I don't covet a lot of cars - but this wagon is at the top of the FWD Peugeot list...

Glad you got away relatively unscathed - when I first read it I started to fear the worst and was quite relieved when it turned out OK.

I'd suggest a test drive first - sounds great on paper with that 5.5L v8, but assuming it's auto, and their rep for having a harsh ride might not be that great of a driver.  Fuel economy would be pretty harsh too.

That said - might be worth all the negatives just for that sound - even more so if you're buddy managed a 5sp swap.  :)

It’s Nicks wife’s car, previous owner had a swap done at MBZ dealer and it comes with a stack of paper work. It’s in pretty good shape and it’s California car so no rust on it at all.

He also have C36 AMG with 6 speed swap and I prefer A/T for DD and M/T cars are just slow #atforlife(swapping my DSM to A/T as well)

I drove it few times and it’s more comfortable then 405 it absorbs bumps much better but it definitely feels much heavier, definitely you can feel it  is much bigger car.

Not worried about fuel economy,I always fill up around half tank anyways...have to get to work and around the the city regardless what fuel  consumption or cost of fuel is.

I told him I’ll think about all this in spring time,he’s definitely interested in this car.

Savo, i have some experience with mercs from this era, and the W202 99 C43 is build to a price point, not the best platform, they suffer badly with electrical issues and other drivetrain problems, and parts are much more expensive and harder to install.

I think those are 4 speed A/T but I could be wrong. So far sounds decent DD but I’ll wait till spring and make my decision.

I think they are pretty easy to work on. I worked on many of them and they seemed pretty reliable, parts are easy to come by here and they sold a lot of C,S and E class here.

That will be huge.  The rest is very nice.

I drive this car every day and so far I covered about 60.00 miles with it,once silver car is back on the road it’s being retired as weekend car only in order to preserve engine and interior.

I got few ideas on exterior upgrades and most likely I’ll keep it original color as engine bay and door jams are in perfect condition.

Lately I noticed fuel fumes inside of my car and I found that fuel was dripping at fuel fill hose by gas tank, end up replacing it and by the time I got to work fuel was leaking pretty bad out of that same area. Next day I found large crack at fuel fill hose attachment on gas tank :-( this is second time I had gas tank leak on this car and I had only one left and it’s currently in my other wagon. This Saturday I removed it out of parts car (wagon) and install it in this wagon and then I found another leak :-( this time it’s leaking around mounting tab for exhaust heat shield. I can’t fined another gas tank that’s close to me so I’ll try repairing this one till I fined the replacement.
