my3AWDgst
Does any of you know if anyone is making power steering ram bushing? This bushing failed on my wagon and steering ram is still good it's not leaking at all. Thanks
Bean
Might be possible to get one machined up out of bronze if you can get the old one out.... Rabin
my3AWDgst
Old one is not existing any more,I'd prefer polyurethane but that's a long shot. Looking for easy replacement, unfortunately I'm short on time now days.
Bean
Sorry - I thought you meant the end bushing in the rack itself (they failed on my Volvo). Is this a mounting bushing? Rabin
my3AWDgst
Steering ram is mounted to steering rack just like on 505.
SRDT
20 or 22mm external diameter? 4059.07 for 22mm 4059.06 for 20mm
my3AWDgst
Still available at dealer?
Goce
Savo i would suggest turn your own on a lathe from some teflon or nylon plastic, make it two pieces and reuse the bolt sleeve.
SRDT
4059.06 is listed NLA by Peugeot, 4059.07 isn't but could be anyway as servicebox isn't very reactive.

Bean
What about using 3M Window Urethane to build a new one. OR maybe seeing if you could press in a spherical / heim joint into the end? Rabin

Bean
3M Window Urethane is comparible to 90 durometer polyurethane, and if done well is quite robust. Sure I wouldn't want to do it in situ - but it's dead simple and it costs ~$20 for a tube. Proper replacement is way better of course - I was just spit balling if you needed it asap. Goce
I've fix my drive shaft support bearing with windscreen silicone on my build, you can see on my build thread.

Servicebox is the online parts catalog from Peugeot, there pros can order parts and also pay for more technical documentation. That's how I know that 4059.06 is NLA. As Peugeot isn't currently operating in the US you may or may not be able to register as a US shop and if trying as a brit shop you may have problems with your US IP address.
