Stewart
Has anyone else noticed how fast that thing accelerates in the last two gears?
my3AWDgst
Great results and great job Peugeot :-) That 208 is the BEAST and perhaps Peugeot brought too strong of the car for the event.
Stewart
I'm just wondering if those little frog eaters used almost all their hardware from a WRC car , made a chassis with rear engine, grabbed a little Loeb, traction control, slicks and the tail wing and one engine from an old Concorde? Bean
The 908 LeMan car was the biggest donor for this car, and seeing it on person it's absolutely tiny. Still wrecked from the trip, but hoping to get pictures and story up today, and then do some editing to the boring go-pro video of the mountain. Biggest thing I've noticed is there is no sensation of incline, and having driven that road almost 3 times in 2 days, the times and the speeds posted are staggering... Loeb's acheivement really does blow my mind after driving the road myself. To give a definition of "wrecked" - We went to the mountain ~1AM Sunday, spectated all day, had a late supper, and I went to bed around 12:30 AM Monday morning. We woke up at 2AM, and left CO at 3:15 AM, and I drove all the way back to Regina arriving at 6:30PM Monday evening. Worth every minute though!
