Been in the library since noon and every few hours I've been indulging myself in some very fine European Automotive Classifieds..

Enjoy:

"Euro version" of my own car?

If I recall correctly, previously owned by a Morracan gentleman on the French club 505 forums

^ word. I think i forgot that our cars are also growing scarce in the motherland. I'm tellin ya...one day we've gotta have our next club meet in france.

we could all buy some nice 505TI's and ship 'em back through the grey market laws. poor man's european delivery!

My wife works at the university, and every 7 years she's able to take a year sabbatical. She mentioned moving to France for a year, and I suggested buying a nice series 1 505 turbo while there as our DD so that I could bring it back with us at the end. She didn't blink - so I assume that was consent. :)

With prices climbing like that however - might make more sense to take a nice US spec one to sell so I can buy a euro spec one. :)

Sweet 4x4 Dangel sedan too... Very cool indeed.

Sounds like a fun gig if you can drop your own job for a year.

I would love to get a Peugeot RCZ Asphalte (the 260 HP one) and bring it back, but that would not be possible, sadly.

Second choice for me would be a 405 T16 but it would need a container of spare parts to keep it going!

That rear bumper set up is SO much cleaner than the 89' rear bumper that it really cleans up the cars looks. Even that evo body kit looks SO much better with it. The 89' FRONT bumper is perfection though - so mated with the rest of the kit would via for my all-time favorite looking 505 (very close to the series 1 euro 505 turbo)

I need to find a way to get the parts for that euro rear bumper. Craig P of Peugeot-L sent me a link to a Chinese firm offering the bumpers for sale along with some cool grills - might have to investigate further for sure:

Finding a way to get it shipped here for decent costs will be the issue. There's a LOT of stuff coming over though so hopefully it's not too bad if the company has good connections.

As for build quality - that's easy to fix with a little time and effort in the fit and finish and it should be fine. If I make any progress I'll definitely be posting as it looks like they may have a minimum order of 6.
