andrethx
http://www.gmgracing.com/services/mercedes-benz/I had to google it. Makes sense now. Rabin when i saw it i just assumed that someone had "customized" an amg logo to reflect their own initials or something like that -- it never occurred to me that another tuner would rip off the amg logo. seems to me like they are asking for trouble... andré
andrethx
a few odds & ends that i've seen around LA lately: a funny vanity plate: went to the box store (that's actually a thing) to get a box to send the incorrect hoses back to JEGS, saw this minivan for gemballa design, the porsche tuning firm. this guy was a US rep, he was buying boxes to ship bumpers and bumper armatures to dealers (the back of the van had lots of porsche parts in it)... saw this mondial 8 cabrio this morning in my neighborhood...TRX wheels & tires.... btw -- that grass in the foreground? it's not grass, it's astroturf.... lastly, i saw this 85 505S wagon in the parking lot of home depot yesterday, i left a note and went into the store but i ran into the owner on my way out! nice lady, has owned the car since new. hopefully we will see her online in the future... andré
andrethx
here's a vanity plate a saw a while back on the freeway here in LA...just getting around to posting this: if you don't get the joke, it's a reference to trey parker & matt stone's excellent satire, (warning --- NSFW language). parker & stone are the guys behind south park. so subaru owners have a sense of humor.... also, last week i was walking in the park and i saw a current-model mustang rigged up for testing -- the rear bumper had been replaced with an unpainted black plastic unit and the grill had been replaced with a blank (non-logo-d) version that was taped in place. there were sensors and wires taped to the outside of the car. i asked one of the guys standing near it if it was a test mule for the 2015 mustang, and he said yes. he asked me not to photograph it so i didn't... andré
norcal505
everyday, i park my car in the free dirt lot next to the cliffs..very picturesque setting in la jolla behind my school, univ. of california, san diego. there are a variety of cool cars to see there everyday. lately, i have been parking next to an audi TT belonging to a french exchange student. the car is a real euro-spec audi TT, imported only a few months ago. no us-compliance stuff whatsoever - kmh dash, french plates, no permits, etc.. http://www.flickr.com/photos/norcal505/10200423384/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/norcal505/10200423384/'>A long way from home by http://www.flickr.com/people/norcal505/'>sina.pour, on Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/norcal505/10200515996/'>http://www.flickr.com/photos/norcal505/10200515996/'>Audi TT all the way from France in California by http://www.flickr.com/people/norcal505/'>sina.pour, on Flickr

norcal505
no pics? literally pulled out my phone and has a few seconds to snap it, but unfortunately, I was/am pretty new to the iPhone 5, and fumbled for a minute while it got away.
