I have also sprung an oil leak it looks as though it's coming from the oil pan. I believe the seal has perished. Have u ever changed the oil pan and seal on a N9TE?

You know something my turbo gauge seems to be frozen on the second mark from the start position. And I a whining sort of a wistleing noise when I accelerate. And lately if I accelerate hard I hear clanking sound. not sure if it's my turbo going out or the result of vacuum hose leak or a gasket issue you described.

Just curious, when u accerated before fixing the vac hose from the wastegate did the car have a winning sound and some hesistation? I have been experiencing the power lag and hear a winning sound and have not checked any vac hoses from Waste gate. Although I don't my power train is the gas turbo but just reading you discoveries leads me to believe that could the matter with my car. Still has good pick up.

was this merger a good thing financially for Peugeot do to the need for money? In other words was Peugeot in financial turmoil? If so don't ever recall there were any such news. And I'd like to think that GM certainly learned its lesson with the strip mining of a company with good european heritage and just leaving a good thing alone. I think what GM tried to do was infuse European heritage into its company line up without any European flare besides using a well known name. So hopefully they will cross platforms used and designed by Peugeot in order to achieve what all other non European car makers strive to do, design a car with good euro handleing characteristics.

Hummmmm...maybe this could open up opportunities to PSA coming back here to the states and Canada?

I can't remember which thread I saw something on waste gate repair. I think the jerking that I'm getting from my car when I accelerate is due to a faulty waste gate. I've heard that you need to replace the entire turbo with the waste gate. And I have also heard that it is possible to just replace the waste gate. Can anyone confirm which is best and most cost effective and if in fact I can replace the waste gate and if so what are the procedures.

has anyone ever had and or installed engine strut support bar in the engine bay? I would love to see if I can find someone to fabricate one for my stx and turbo. Any suggestions?

Frank, where is the location of the waste gate? Are they relativity an expensive part?

Has anyone ever shortened their shift linkage? if so how do you about doing it and cost and materials?

Rabin, I haven't done anything with the boost or turbo. Im thinking it's probably something to ignition, plug wires, distributor cap, because if I'm cruising along at a stead rate of speed engine pulls ok. I do how ever feel some slight hesitation, it' only occurs when I pull away from a dead stop (occasionally) or when I need to accelerate like getting in the freeway or passing, so therefore I have to ease into the accelerator.

Everytime I accelerate hard in the engine does a hard hick up and jerking manner. This is only when hard acceleration happenes. if I'm at a stop and proceed to gradually pick up speed not so much. I thought maybe it could be the distributor cap and or plug wires. But I checked those and they seem fine. I had a spark plugs changed about 12,000 miles ago. Anybody have any thoughts?

Hey Andre! Love the pics. sorry I didn't get out there have been battling that nasty flu bug that's been going around. It's still has a good hold of me.
