  1. Wow I had no idea!! ?? it wasn't too bad I paid $385 to get the head completely welded and gone through. But I ended up selling the car well actually I traded it for some work in my 87 stx which worked out better for me than cash. But here are some pictures of how he left the head. This is way I take all my stuff to this guy he has always gone above and beyond and is very well priced ??
  2. http://inlandempire.craigslist.org/cto/5673346682.html?lang=en&cc=us i have to sell her asap $800 is high but I'm open to offers at is complete minus the cylinder head which was $385 to rebuild. lower end is solid just needs to cylinder barrels or hone
  3. Alright guys I know it's getting crazy finding stuff for our cars I found a couple of guys that have done some insane things to a couple of peugeots basically it's 505 bodies with Nissan suspension and engines they are very nice I wanted to post these pictures up for you guys so that you could check them out and also get some ideas ???. I know we don't want to let our beloved Peugeots be out for the count. So enjoy guys!!
  4. Hey guys!! its been a long time since I've posted on here but I really wanted to post some progress on an 84 Peugeot 505 2.0 XN2 I recently purchased I has a blown head gasket. Also I got a few pictures of some cracks on the head in the usual spots the cylinder head is being re welded and gone completely through I've got a machine shop guy who is Awesome!! Also if anyone recognizes this 505 I would love some history of it. I purchased the car for $250 about 4 months ago and I'm fixing it up because I really didn't want this going to a crusher. Just for a answer it had three cracks and a lot of surface material eaten away. He's doing a full valve job , weld up, pressure testing, hot tank and complete disassembly for $355 .
  5. I'm in need of a mid and lower oil pan assembly and a 2.8 crank shaft. Or maybe even a motor
  6. Hey guys hope everyone is well. It's been a while since my last post.Ive been bummed ever since my 88 505 prv blew a rod on the freeway since last year but I will not get rid of my car. I have a ton of questions. Been reading the net up and down like crazy I was successful at buying an eagle premier engine...score! As I was interested in the heads and liners and pistons. I've been reading about john lanes fire breathing prv. Sounds like a ton of fun. I don't want my car to do flips and spit drivetrain (of course because my pocket is limited) But I really want a snappy prv that will still get along with my stock Peugeot ba10/5 and rear end and still be able to run octane from the pump. What would be my options? Can I use the eagle premier heads, pistons liners , rods and what can would be best to use my stock Peugeot or eagle premier? And what kind of work can I do to my heads to perform better. Also I found delorean in garden grove sells a cam that has a little bit more of a performance profile will that work with the eagle heads? I've been looking at the firing order and piston placement of the Peugeot prv and the delorean prv and they both have the same firing order and piston # arrangement but that the delorean is an odd fire and mines and even fire would the delorean performance camshafts fit inside the eagle heads? I'm reaching out in hope that someday next summer my 505 will be back on the road and it will be better than ever : ] it nearly broken my spirit and the thought of putting it on non op since I have had the car as my daily driver since 04 till last year it had about 3xxk miles on it and ran like a gem until then I had fixed several issues and was able to readjust the mixture on my little engine using a 5 gas anylizer which bumped my mileage to almost 25mpg highway. Just a couple of questions anything will be much appreciated. I just reall miss my car and I hate looking at it every morning I go to work it just sits there and looks at me. I miss it and till this day I have never driven anything as comfortable and feel as safe as I did in that little car -horhayj505

  12. I need some demensions and info, if anyone would kindly supply with them I wish you a thousand thanks. My GLX has some slop in the front end I thought possible tie rods but ended up being the lower control arm bushing not the radius bushing but the one on the control arm closest to the rack. I've been doin some research oline and there are still kits being sold for the 79-86 505 but I just need to know if that bushing has the same demensions as the 86 and on as my car is an 88. Would really appreciate the help. I already ordered the front radius arm bushings of rock auto but those are the only listings as far as lower control arm bushings. Please and thank you Horhayj505
