Bean Posted February 19, 2011 Report Share Posted February 19, 2011 I'm going to guess the arm on the caliper that the cable pulls on is sticking, so if you tap it back it should release the park brake. Either the arm, or the cable itself is getting sticky - temp solution is the same. Permanent solution will be to either clean up the calipers to see if it's just the arm at fault, or you can try cleaning out and lubing the parking brake cables. Rabin when the handle is released the left side releases but not all the way and makes the car feel lugged down and heavy. I had to move it out of my drive way and into the garage. N9TE Posted February 19, 2011 Report Share Posted February 19, 2011 Easiest thing to do is replace the cables. Probably needs it. About $70 for both of them. Give Rob Courter a call.
