norcal505
So, basically the two bay area pnp's (richmond and oakland) have recently gotten a large inventory of peugeots. at the east oakland one, there is a VERY CLEAN 89 505 V6 SEDAN!! 5speed. It's in the display section. Next weekend, on my birthday, I'm gonna head out (not too far from my house), and scavenge. I plan on grabbin the V6's rear end (tails and license plate panel), a turbo's front air dam, rain gutters, a trunk lid, and whatever else I see in okay condition. If anyone else needs some stuff, just let me know here. But fyi to all you Bay Area peugeot-er's DIBS ON THE 89!! . Cheers, Rob
august
what's wrong with the car? can you buy it?
Bean
Yeah Rob - buy the car! If it's that's nice then it's Probably just a mechanical issue and it wouldn't be that hard to sort out. Hell - I've got a low mile V6 in my garage that wouldn't be that much to send down... They're super rare ans well worth the effort! norcal505
i dont think anything is wrong with the car at all the guy just probably got a letter from Bay Area Air Quality Manegment offering to buy the car off him, and he just sold it , and it somehow ended up there. I know that pnp usually sells the cars really cheap, like in the $100's. If its pretty low, and running, and what not , hey, i'll be happy to buy it. I also hear from a fellow peugeot enthusiast that the car has a perfect 89 style bodykit, with jack stands, completely in tact. oh yeah, i think the cars a 5 speed. Peugeottogo
Rob, I agree about just buying the entire car if they will let it go cheap. Keep us posted on what you do since you claim to have dibs on it, and I'll keep the Bay Area Peugeot Vultures away. Jeff
norcal505
if i get the whole car, im not sure what i'd want to do with it. if i dont part it out, i'd probably fix it up on a budget, and sell it. i'm hoping to get a lot of money on my hands soon, as i'm planning on selling my 06' S60 2.5 Turbo
august
i don't follow. you have access to a 89 5 speed v6 and you wouldn't want to keep it? i think it'd be easier and probably a lot cooler to do a N9T engine drop in an 'already' 89, rather then doing the drop in your current older style 505, right? i'd jump on the pnp people. i don't think they let cars go for that cheap (100), but it'd be awesome if they did. even if the car made it to the yard and you got the body work off of it, it might cost you more then the whole damn car. ya know? norcal505
I dont have too much room! Trying to down size so I have more doe to work on my Peugeot and 245! I already have a N9T on hold for me. Complete with wiring harness, etc... REALLY cheap.

norcal505
thanks jeff! i was a little too busy today, so im for sure heading tomarrow @ 11 am. i left my tool box at a relatives' house last weekend while working on my uncle's bimmer. i just stopped by and picked it up. Don't worry. I'll get some good pics and info while I'm there and post up a thread tomarrow night. -rob oh yeah, forgot to mention I just got some parts for a full tune up kit on my car, which I'll probably furnish to Sam, to get it done for me. I also today just got the windshield squirters fixed. I'm gonna get my A/C recharged in June, can't wait!!
norcal505
alright. Today I went to both the Richmond AND Oakland Pnp's. Sadly, there were barely any Peugeots. Only two. At the Richmond-1 505 S wagon, at the east oakland yard- 86 or 87 505 GLS sedan. I snatched the pass. door handle + the door lock solenoid. Also, got both 505's steering wheel emblems. I really didnt get much today for the peugeot, but alot of stuff for my Volvo. Plus a Porsche and a Saab Turbo badges!!
august
what's the status on the 89 v6?
norcal505
wasn't their. the 'french' car inventory at both yards was minimized to only ONE 505 per yard. I was wishing to run into that classic renualt 16 or that mint 87 sti, or even that really nice gold 504. especially the met. blue 89 V6 sedan. Too bad they were all gone. I'm about to upload the pics of the 505's i scavenged. btw, the gls sedan has a AWesome interior. really nicely kept seats. cloth/vinyl. i yanked the door pulls off it though, fyi alright,so here are all the cars i saw today. ZDJL?? ..but autotragic my own...

norcal505
hey, just a little update... went back today. Got some more interior parts for my Volvo, and so I see a Fiat convertible ( i think) and it had two nice Pinninfarina Badges, and of course I got them! I'll probably slap em on some time soon. It's just too hot outside right now, so I don't really feel like working. Tried washing the 505 yesterday, and it the water just kept drying up. It needs to cool down!!!
