N9TE
So I got my car running OK. It still needs to be dialed in much better, but my garage is not air tight and assume the outside ambient temperature. So I won't have a change to tune it properly until spring. I will be building a spare engine and need a undamaged cylinder head. Tell me what you got. Thanks,
andrethx
i saw that jessie at dubarr is selling a n9t head on ebay for US$150 OBO, but it needs repairs so i assume it's cracked... andré
N9TE
Thanks André, I did see that. I'm doing this as a preventative measure, so I can take the time (I hope!) to find one crack-free. If that's still possible. I already have two heads with cracks. They crack pretty much everywhere. Bean
Victor had Deuce's head repaired at a shop that used to be the shop that did the repairs back in the day. $500 IIRC Personally I'd want the piece of mind of a properly repaired head over installing a used head that had no cracks. Cracking is obviously as a result of some sort of stress, so hopefully stress relieving it would "reset" the casting. Cryo after would hopefully just make it more resistant to the stressed from starting. Tempted to get the Dani heads I have done before I use them, just don't have anything local.
