  1. I have euro lights on my car. I'm having a seal issue. what's happening is when I wash my car or when it rains moisture seems to build up behind the glass lens. Now the problem that is developing is the shiney Chrome part behind the bulb is rusting and discoloration is forming I want to dissemble the light unit treat the discoloation and reseal it. But not sure if this is doable. Anybody ever try to disemble their euros and put them back together?
  2. Nice. Where is this place u got ur parts from?
  3. Wow if I wasn't already spilling out with cars I'd probably be temped to buy this 
  4. Eeeeww. Thank GOD I had finals already and am nit Commuting. At least For the summer. Rob when do u move to SD for school? andre, we should do coffee soon. Do u live near any if the Urth cafes?
  5. My uncle, the same one who also owned a 89 V6 on the east coast had a '90 Mi16 (red) used to let me drive his car every spring when I would go and visit. I do have to say that the engine felt so much more peppy than the 150 horses that were there. fun great car it was to drive. And neither if them had any signs of rust. He had a crappy old merc Benz e 230 diesel that he used during the winter months .
  6. I had a hick up and suffering problem once and had my fuel system cleaned out. And the problem stopped
  7. Andre i will rely on u to remind me of the dates would like to show my car in it but not too sure.
  8. Where's the carlise cae show at? what types of car are on display?
  9. I read in a thread on here not too long ago about a French and Italian classic car show I Los Angeles. Does anybody know any info dates times etc.
  10. No apologies needed andre. After all, isn't that the very reason we all regular contributors and fans of this site? we all love our cars. We love to share the enthusiasm with each other
  11. Jeff did u used to live in a little desert town called ridgecrest? Reason I ask is because your TD with the Santa Barbara plate frame looks familiar. I used to have fily live in that crappy town.
  12. I'm running 205/55 on my turbo and they have great performance. you can also put 205/60. Just a bit tall for me which is why I run 55 series. Problem with 55 series is there aren't very many manufactures that make a tire in that size.
  13. Thanks andre. Soon we need to get coffee. How's the peugeot coming along
  14. Does anyone know where the ECU for the cruise control is located?
  15. No my uncles car went to my cousin, who like all of Us loves the cars.
  16. I wanna have that much fun in mine too!
  17. Well my V6 does have grey leather. But however, it's burgendy. I am actually going to have it repainted and have a rear spoiler the kind I have on my '86 turbo. I also am going to replace my US spec head lamps with the MUCH nicer sleeker looking euros. P.s. Yes bean, I def plan on taking before and after pics of my car and showing and telling
  18. WOW! That's a whole lotta torque. and the toureg is kinda like the cayenne.
  19. Well you hit nail exactly on the head. Which is the reason why I keep holding onto it. I bought it four years ago cash when I landed a huge contract for my business as a gift to myself for all the hard work and sacrifices I've made going to school and starting my business. it was a pre-owned managers car that I got a steal of a deal. however with the other three cars I have now I can probably just use it when needed. Perhaps I may just keep it.
  20. Yup I hear ya on that one. Had the cayenne in shop other day tire preassure monitoring sensor went out and cost $1100.00 to repair! new cars are great and like the technology but when it breaks it's expensive. I'm Considering selling it and getting a SUV with better MPG's and cost less to keep.
  21. I have a buddy in San Diego who has a fully cherried 87 turbo wagon with the third row seat. That thing UBER comfy. He hasn't been driving it much as he bought a new Audi Q7. I asked him not too long ago what he was going to do with the Peugeot and he said that he's not quite ready to sell it. I told that I'm positive I could help him sell it when he's ready. It's cranberry with gray leather and has a working sunroof. Which finding a wagon with a sunroof is rare, and working at that. I got a sunroof cable in yesterday for the turbo. I'm planning on getting it fixed before the nice sunny weather rolls in for a the rest of year can u believe that the sunroof cable on my car has never gone out til latter part of last year?! The car was my parents b4 I bought it 10 years ago and it always worked. Pretty good life for this part if you ask me ESP considering that the part i's made with awful pastic that gets brittle over time with usage and such. One time if I'm ever in la on a sat we should meet up for coffee. la i's practically my other home with work and all my friends I'm there frequently
  22. Hey btw bean, did you ever get the issue with your throttle response on the VR70 squared away with?
  23. Yeah. My uncle had an '89 V6. he lived in New Jersey. And when I would go visit him every year he always let me drive when ever we went out. his was a stick. I always said if I could ever come acrossed a good condition V6 I would snatch it up. Really for I bought this car for and the impeccable condition this car is in and how low the miles on it were, I really couldn't pass this up. Once I get some issues sorted out i.e. transmission slips, water pump being replaced and having all the fluids flushed and drained: radiator, rear end, brakes, fresh synthetic oil, the car will def be one that I plan on driving into la for my weekly commute as you know andre, the 405 traffic can a bit rough for a stick. Not that I don't enjoy driving my turbo. How'd you do in the bar exam btw?
  24. Yeah, I'm hoping the cash register won't "cha-ching" too loudly for the tranny. I got a filter kit from Madhu and am going to take it to my mechanic this week as thats where my car is at right now. Thanks for the delorean info site!
  25. Ok...Just eye balling the lug spacing looked like maaaaybe they may fit but I figured I should trust a PUG professional Oh yeah....Did I forget to share with you on my new impluse too good of an offer to pass up V6 with only 44,000 original miles on it? I'm having for things done in terms of maintanence: Automatic transmission service. It slips in Drive mode. I can hear and feel the gears changing from 1st thru 4th. It just slips. oil replaced with synthetic. rear end fluids drained and fresh replaced. brake fluid flushed and replaced. Radiator flushed and replaced. And having the water pump replaced as there was a very slow leak. Could be a faulty hose but really didnt want to take a chance and got a rebuilt one from Madhu! The car sat for nearly a year. after all the routine and preventitive maintanence is thru as well as figuring out whats wrong with the tranny I plan on having it repainted in the same color: Burgandy The interior is in fantastic condition. The leather still smells new and aside from a tiny spot on driver side bolster wear eveything else in the interior is beautiful! once I get the car back I will take some pics and post.
