mharvey
Any ideas for getting more life from the dash buttons. My '87 505 STX has all the buttons hanging out because when you push them once, they get stuck in the on position. Flashers, seat warmers, ect. They sometimes reset if I pull out hard on the button face. I have tried electronics cleaner and drylube but they still stick after some time. Thanks, Mitch. Bean
Have you disassembled the switches and cleaned them? Some have had luck doing that - but I've always parted out cars for switches so I just swap them out if they act up. Rabin
ahing6
Here are some pics of what inside switch looks like. Spring removed so u can see switch in 'off position' with "L" tipped wire in grooves. Switch 'on position' And switch in transition back to 'off position' If your up to opening the switches i use an old pocket knife (dull) to just pry lift edge of housing gently work each side at time off. Then you can inspect what's causing sticky problem. Maybe old grease/dust or bent "L" tipped wire guide or rough up plastic grooves. "L" tip wire pic Hope this helps. andrethx
these switches (series 2 505) were used in several peugeot and citroën models, so they are readily available as NOS if you are willing to buy from europe. andré
