houligan
I can't find any leaks and there are never puddles, but sometimes when I'm driving I can smell gas pretty strong and it worries me...any suggestions?
Bean
Welcome to the forum! Have you checked the fuel tank vent lines? Rabin
andrethx
welcome! on the US/Canadian cars, the fuel tank is behind a panel in the rear of the trunk (i.e., towards the passenger compartment). the vent lines that rabin is talking about are on the right side and the lines going to the fuel pump, engine, etc. are on the left side. there are a number of soft lines in there, so if any of them are loose or cracked, that would account for the fuel smell, since air from the trunk is free to intermingle with air from the cabin. if you pull the panel and get a strong fuel smell, you'll know you're on to something. please, tell us more about your car, where you are, etc. andré
houligan
My car is a wagon but I'll see if I can find those lines behind the left side panal.

Bean
Does it matter what level your fuel tank is at? If no - then I'd suspect vent lines for sure. Rabin
