Help figuring price to offer for parts

Recommended Posts

A private party is selling some used parts in good condition, that I need, and wants me to make an offer. I want to be fair to him, both for the parts and his time in removing them, and I want to be fair to me as well. Does anyone have an idea of what would be a fair price for the following parts for a 1985 505.

  • front ashtray
  • Rear interior light (courtesy light) (I need the outer part that it mounts in not necessarily the rocker part that lights)
  • Front valence (under the front bumper)
  • 2 Rear side marker lights
  • Left front side rubber trim (on the fender around the side marker light)
  • 2 quarter panel lining (inside the car between the rear windscreen and the rear edge of the back-door window)
  • Dashboard Clock

Tell him, "I'll give you $50 for the parts, $75 if you remove them carefully." It can take 15 mins if you hack. More like 90 if you're careful.

He's already removed them, and It sounds like he did so carefully. $50 didn't sound fair just for his time, especially by the time he packs up the valence.
