Peugeot Steve
What size tires are supposed to go on the 15in peugeot rims? I bought some from PeugeotHolm to replace the metric wheels that are on the car. I read the threads using the search and found a number of sizes that different people have tried, but I don't want to deviate from the intended size. norcal505
Isn't the original size like 195 or something? A lot of use 205's, which are the most sensible in my opinion.
andrethx
Toni Lindroos of Finland (a sometimes contributor to this forum) runs an excellent site, peugeot505.info. he has lots of stuff on that site, one resource i refer to frequently is a US peugeot sales brochure from 1986, the year my car was made. as you can see, that year the 15s on the turbo had 205/60R15s so that would be a correct choice. the STIs had 195/60R15s, so you could go that way as well. andre
Peugeot Steve
Found some info on the 'tyre' spelling. Looks like I'll search to purchase 205/60R15. Any worries with the strut lower cup to tire clearance with this size? Steve
norcal505
No, that's spot on. Great clearance for me. I know you also have an STI, so I'm not sure about the different rates/etc on the Turbos, but it should be just fine. Here are my 205/60R15's.. pushgo
I'm running 205/55 on my turbo and they have great performance. you can also put 205/60. Just a bit tall for me which is why I run 55 series. Problem with 55 series is there aren't very many manufactures that make a tire in that size.
