N9TE
I've got Firefox 3.6.6 and they ain't popping up. These are the pictures that people "upload" as attachments that popup into another window to show their full size via Flash. Anybody else having that problem? If I need to see a picture I fire up IE9 - which means of course, stooping to firing up IE9.
andrethx
using a mac (os x 10.6.7) with safari (5.0.4), attached images work fine. fired up firefox 4.0, they did not work. if others want to report on their experiences, please note your browser version and os version, it'll help the mods diagnose the problem. incidentally, for those of you who haven't taken a lot of time to explore the board's functions, there are two main ways you can add a picture or pictures to a post: you can add as an attachment, which is done below the area where you type your post, or you can insert image using the icon above the typing box (the icon that looks like a photograph). the basic difference is, if you attach your images, you upload them to the 505turbo.com forum and they are hosted here. there are limits to how much stuff you can upload at any one time, of course. pictures show up as a thumbnail, and when you click on it you get a larger version. on the other hand, inserting an image is essentially "hotlinking" -- you are adding a link to a picture that is hosted elsewhere (another website, or a picture hosting site like picasa or photobucket). the advantages are, you can add as many pictures as you want, and they can be as large as you want since they are hosted elsewhere. and even better, they show up as full-sized or properly scaled images (no clicking to get a bigger picture). the downside is, if the picture ceases to be available on the host, the link is broken. this is why very old posts sometimes have broken pic links. the problem koll is reporting here has to do with the first method of adding pictures, attaching. andre
