505T
Is the tire shredded in the third pic from the top? How very dramatic!
Toni Lindroos
This is an old Norwegian civil police car, bought by a drifting enthusiast and driven hard on the track ever since. ;-) It has over 815 000 km in the meter! Now it looks like the owner has sadly sold his car to someone else, here's the ad. The owner of the car has also filmed several drifting videos and many of them features this 505. The car has probably defective aftermarket suspension (sits very high and swings more than it should, IMHO). You can download those videos from: http://www.gunstig.no/v2/?page=videoprod http://www.driftfun.com/v3/ http://filmer.driftfun.com/ I've downloaded and seen them all. ;-) Also some pictures can be found here: http://bilder.driftfun.com/

Toni Lindroos
are these sparks from the tire???http://bilder.driftfun.com/laanke-2004/dori11 Yep. ;-) I think that in drifting they often use used tyres and drive them until they blow. ;-) Watch all those videos, really entertaining material. ;-)
Toni Lindroos
This site has some interesting pics of "tuned" Peugeots: http://www.pisteros.com/Secciones/PTC/marcas/peugeot.htm This one is maybe the most altered 505 I've ever seen: http://www.pisteros.com/Ptc2/75942/index.htm I don't like the style but it has the same idea that I've thought sometimes: how would a 505 look with a completely different frontend with different headlamps etc. That finally leads to the question: how would a "3rd series" 505 or "506" look like? It would maybe have some key elements of 505's traditional shapes but also something new from the mid 1990's. Frontend and rearend would have to be more "integrated" with fewer gaps. 405's style is maybe too "old-fashioned" and "friendly" but a bit more sporty look with some similarities to 406 would be nice. After 406 Peugeot's styling hasn't been very interesting, IMHO. Fitting some rounded headlights would be the easiest option but I don't think they'll ever fit to Peugeot's style. Maybe headlights from the 406 could be installed? It would be interesting to try different shapes with all that snow that's going to drop out of the sky soon here in (the south coast of) Finland too. ;-)

Trevor
The wheels: Revolution RFX's i think? that car is one of the most hilarious rice jobs i've seen in a while.

Bean
What's the Comedy channel catch phrase... "Time well wasted!"? That sums it up nicely... Tremendous amounts of money, time and effort and it looks "frankenstein-ish". The car is boxy - any mods need to work with that instead of trying to make it into something it's not. The WRX bumper with the big round lights is neat... Actually... Just the big round lights are neat. I've thought about ideas to get lights onto the car like that, and in that spot - but my idea uses slightly smaller lights and a much more integrated bumper design... Plus it would need to have the 7"/5.25" light combo. Nice to see someone put so much effort into a 505 though...

Guest the505inme
Dudes, did you see the OTHER Peug's they have on thier sight? The 504's are unreal! I wanna move to South America; the land where the Lion gets respect! Hey Bean, did you get any ideas from those creations? What's the Comedy channel catch phrase... "Time well wasted!"? august
whoa i missed those 504's.. pretty comical! ahhaah is this a XD2?
Guest the505inme
I'm pretty sure this is an XD2, turbo charged. God, look at the detailing, AND it's a diesel! Imagine a 504 N9TEA....the 504 is lighter, and it's such a cool looking car. The ultimate lion in sheep's clothing!
Bean
The one thing I noticed is that they don't even have the fast, nice handling Peugeots! When I was 17 I stuffed a 604 V6 4sp manual into my 76 504 SL. That was a very fast car and would easily give the 85 505 Turbo my uncle bought new a run for it's money. I currently have a 76 with a Euro XN1 5-sp in it and I'm torn as to what to do with it. I either need to mod out the XN series 4 cylinder - or I stuff in a very nice PRV V6 with weber carb and the good exhaust manifolds... I also have a 504 Diesel Wagon sans motor. I've been thinking of checking out putting a euro TDi engine and mating it to a 4-sp auto or a 5-sp manual - whichever is easiest. Keep the classic handling and have fanastic economy... Now to get someone give me lots of money so I don't have to work for a living!!! Rabin
Yq397r
That XD2 is gorgeous! I wonder if that is the factory aix intake because my XD2S is quite different. Looks like new though, very nice.

Guest the505inme
Didn't the mid eighties Renault GTA have a twin turbo PVR6? Don't see many of those though....has anyone seen one n N.A.?

Are you talking about the Renault-Alpine GTA V6 Turbo? http://www.automobile-sportive.com/guide/alpine/gta.php Quite a let down on the power ratings. Bean
Actually - there was some talk on the list about the guy in the States that did up the honking PRV turbo powered Volvo - that engine sounds INSANE. If I had the money I'd build one of those... I also have a supercharger from a Nissan 3.3L V6. I think I'd prefer to do that on a PRV V6 instead. Good for 200 - 250 HP and have STONKING torque everywhere... TT V6's would be a nightmare to get right I think... Way too much money too - but certainly fun to think about!
