  1. I've seen a few Jeep products utilizing the 505 turbo diesel motor. A simple engine that can be put in anything if one desires. Query Google for Jeep diesels, Jeff
  2. I'm sure someone knows if the input shafts are the same,One would think so. I'm not familar with the gear ratio's between them thou. Jeff
  3. I'd get the N9TEA out of the 88. Much cleaner and the last version of this model. Don't forget to get the ECU for it under the right side dash also. I thought they sold entire engines for very little money. I would think the same for the transmission, and I can't recall if your manual trans and the later turbo's use the same torque tube, but I bet they do. You can call their 800 number on their web site to get a specific price. Jeff
  4. I bolded the answers for you, If you have more let me know Jeff
  5. Norcal505, I stopped by the yard this morning to get a few interior trim pieces. Just as August indicated, the engine bays appear to be only missing the intercoolers. The interior of both cars have been gone through. The white 86 GL is by far in worse shape than the maroon 88. I hadn't been to this PNP location before, rather large with a small area for what they call other foriegn models. I'd say you still have a good chance of getting what you can from these two. Jeff
  6. Your right August. Very few of these models remain on the road. I feel that generally that most people just get feed up with Peugeot's here in the states and call a wrecking yard. Since 1990 I have owned and sold a least 15 505's and I have only junked one of them. Jeff
  7. Koll, did this one sell already? http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/car/360252618.html Jeff
  8. Koll, if you want daily transportation, just step on down to the slow lane with us turbo diesels. If you were closer, one of my previous 82 TD's I sold is coming back home. Funny how that happens. A nice original car that all the power options work like a charm. I know there a lot of these models hiding around Seattle, find one and you will get a chance to see more of the road at a turtle's pace. Good luck finding your 4 banger gas/5 spd., Jeff
  9. Hey that's great news for you Norcal505! Get out there and claim your prize I maybe stopping by this PNP yard nexted Wednesday July 4th, and no, I'm only looking for some misc. trim parts. Thanks August for the heads up, but it's sad to hear of these showing up in wrecking yards in away, but for those looking for spare parts, it's like finding a blood bank. Good luck Norcal505, Jeff
  10. They are a bit pricey. But hey, where are you gonna fine one of these without building one?
  11. Looks like fun: http://translate.google.com/translate?u=ht...=en&ie=UTF8 Jeff
  12. Congratulations Rabin! Oh the fun you will have You are just getting started. I have four son's, age's 7,25,28, and 30. And grand kids, 8,3-1/2, 1, 11months, with another grand daughter due next week! And to think my youngest boy is the only Peugeot fan besides myself. Jeff
  13. Hey a stock Blazer of this year can bring some big cash. I have been offered 3 times the original amount paid for this rig when new, and those offers are without the 355 engine, but rather with the original 350 4 bolt.
  14. Well I'm another Chevy fan myself. We have our original purchased 1972 Blazer with under 100,000 original miles. Screams dixie with a 355 4 bolt main, aluminum heads, steel crank, and corvette rods. Plenty of other mods make this into a wolf in sheeps clothing. Completely stock looking down to the stock steel wheels. Quite amazing, and the top has never been off Jeff
  15. Rob, he doesn't check his e-mail that often. Send me a email to ; [email protected] and I'll send you his number. Jeff
  16. Rob, if you are still looking for a 140 mph speedo, my friend kept the entire guage cluster from his 84 505 gl with the XN6 drivetrain. I can send you his phone number if you are still interested. Jeff
  17. Maybe I have a lead on another one! A good friend is getting rid of his 84 GL that has the 140 mph speedo in it. It also has the temp, fuel, and tach gauges in the same cluster. It's an XN6 powered car, that will be used to help out another Pug in Southern Monterey County. So the gauge cluster could be saved from it. Let me know what you think.... Jeff
  18. Ok, I just found out that the gauge cluster was removed with some other things this past weekend by a member on the Peugeot-L group.
  19. Check out the 85 STI in the Hayward Pick-your-Part wrecking yard on the Winton St. For you, South 880, exit onto west Winton for 3 miles and the Yard is on the right just past the stop sign Their sign is (Orange and white) I was there this past Friday and it had the gauge cluster your looking for. Good luck, Jeff
  20. Hi all, I'm looking for a single alloy wheel for my 86 505. I'd perfer to find one without the black striping on the spokes, but not a requirement. The wheel is 15"x6" Attached is the wheel I'm looking for with the black striping. Thanks, Jeff http://car-part.com/images/interchange/W66656.gif
  21. Yep, sure have. A little pricey by the time I could get it shipped to California. Our local redneck population would drool over it. Jeff
  22. Its east of Phil's Fish & Chips in Moss Landing. Pick-n-Pull is located a 1.5 east of the power plant on Dolan Road and Highway 1 intersection. You best hurry, this yard doeesn't keep Peugeots for long and that rear spoiler your looking for is pretty nice on the original deck lid with both lift struts intact for $40.00 (I asked them for the price on it)
  23. Hey all, I posted this on the Peugeot-L site prior. For you California gas turbo folks, there is a 1986 gas turbo 505 in the Moss Landing Pick-N-Pull yard. Engine bay is intact, other than the inter cooler. 4spd. automatic. Colors are Maroon exterior with medium gray interior. Interior is in good shape and the only exterior damage is the drivers door. I believe it's a comparable GL model, no power windows, cruise or sunroof. Good luck, Jeff
  24. Wheels,Wheels,Wheels If I could find some decent alloys for my 86, then there would be 4 black steel wheels here on this thread available
