Peugeottogo
I'm selling two 505's. Both are 1986 models, one XN6 2.0 liter gas and XD3T 2.5 liter turbo diesel. They are both in Central California. 1986 Peugeot 505 S. XN6 2.0 liter engine ZF 4-speed automatic 176,000 miles. Exterior: beige/green color Interior: brown cloth The car was sold new in Santa Barbara and has been in California it's entire life. I have all service records since new including the original window sticker. This model gets 22 mpg. City and 26 mpg. Highway. The good: No rust Clean interior Power windows Power door locks Power mirrors Power sunroof Air Conditioning Cruise control Dark tinted glass European headlights with amber bulbs Factory fog lamps Factory stereo/cassette Factory rear spoiler Brakes were replaced at 164,000 miles Michelin tires have about 12,000 miles on them. Recent tune up and oil change Transmission is a recent used and serviced one from a 1988 model year. SK Auto in Alameda did the replacement 1,000 miles a go on 10/12/2007, at a cost of $1,100.00 XN6 engine runs great with no oil burning or loss The not so good: Minor dings in left front fender and sunroof panel and doors Three small tears in the headliner Paint is ok, not a quality repaint at some time in the past. The rear trunk lid is faded due the original trunk lid needing welding. I placed a matching trunk lid from another car with the factory rear spoiler on it. The central locking feature works when it wants to. Could be a simple connection on the actuator switch in the driver's door. The ignition key tip has broken off in the ignition switch, which does not affect anything. The heater electro water valve needs replacement. This valve controls the amount of heated water and is stuck partially open allowing the heater to put out heat continuously unless you depress the re- circulate switch or vent switch. The climate control fan needs the resistor replaced. The fan works on medium and high The electric antenna is not working properly so it's in the up position. Needs right side inner tie rod end replaced. This car has been my daily driver and is currently registered. Asking $1,300.00 for this one. And the turbo diesel: 1986 Peugeot 505 S Turbo Diesel 227,000 miles I have some service records This model gets 28 mpg. City and 35 mpg. Highway. XD3T 2.5 liter engine ZF 4-speed automatic Exterior: beige/green color Interior: Dark brown leather The good; Strong engine Firm shifting transmission New Starter (not rebuilt) New glow plugs Raycor fuel fiter Tinted glass Power windows Power door locks Good brakes Alloy wheels All electrical lighting works well except what's listed below Electric vacuum pump (replaces the mechanical belt driven one) Electric cooling fan with larger radiator (electric cooling fan replaced the original mechanically driven one) Clean door panels and headliner The not so good; Windshield has two very small rock chips No sunroof motor and bad cable Needs replacement electric mirror switch Paint faded and is original Minor surface rust at sunroof opening and right rear door fixed glass frame No radio Needs tires Fuel gauge works part time (has new sender but needs a replacement ground source) Cruise control servo needs linkage rod to work Engine has minor oil leaks and may burn a bit Drivers seat shows wear to the bolster and a split seam in the seat cushion. Rear seat cushion shows wear. This 2.5 turbo diesel drives well and accelerates faster without the driven vacuum pump and viscous cooling fan. No rattles or strange sounds. I would consider this car to be worth finishing or the engine and transmission paired together could be used for a project. I know this model is quite rare. Currently on California non-op. Asking $1,500.00 for this one. I'm sure I have forgotten to list something on ether of them so feel free to ask any questions, Thanks, Jeff

Peugeottogo
Hey, I have a declining population of Lion's just like the SF Zoo. I'm making room for another Citroen. Don't worry, my ole' trusty 81 TD will be with me for quite sometime. Jeff

august
A very low mileage 1980 CX. Still has the protective plastic on the seats from the factory. A real gem of a car. Jeff wow, 28 year old factory plastic seat covers, there's got to be story behind that rig!
Pugsley
If you lived closer Id be on that diesel with the 2.5.
Peugeottogo
The CX was offered to me almost three year ago, and still remains in my friend's auto collection which is mostly French makes. Ether I take the plunge into the CX line or spend a bit more on a DS. Pugsley, I have a potential buyer for the TD in York, Pa. He hasn't decided to ether ship or fly out and drive it back. I'd keep this turbo diesel for it's performance but my series one model has been my youngest son's favorite. He'll be eight this month and really would like to have it when he is sixteen. He always points to it when we leave the house to ride in. Smart kid, likes it better than mom's Prius. Jeff
