Bean
Hi Arun - can you tell me if the 405 mirrors can bolt up to the 505? I remember someone posted that the fit 405 mirrors to the 505 once, but I've never confirmed it. Thanks! Rabin
anj
If they didnt sell, that was my idea. dubarr still has the matching one for sale at the same price. I will check the fitment. Arun
Bean
If it does - and no one steps up for their 405 - I'll get it for my 89. NOS OEM power mirror for a 25 year old car is pretty damn rare, and $85 is a steal. 2nd question for Savo - is there a body colour painted plastic cover that fits on the mirrors as well? Or is the mirror itself just painted? Rabin
ahing6
Hi Rabin, yes there is a plastic cover on 405 mirrors usually matching body colour. Best way to remove is pry up from inside the cover so you don't break any of the tabs. Not certain but am sure 405/505 mirrors interchange at triple screw mounts. Plastic corner trim and connector pins diff though.
Bean
Thanks Roger! I guess Arun and / or myself will have to get intact covers as well if either of use them. They're quite a bit nicer, although I was hoping to replace my side mirrors with ones that don't have rubber gators... OEM quality trumps any after market ones though.
