Hi all I was working on my STX to be my track car and was installing the Sabelt seats and harness for a 3 day HPDE at VIR with the PCA club. A week before the event the car failed to start with no spark. Swapped most electric items with running car with no luck. Decided to take my DD STI with the AS3 Michelins, Nismo rims and Rabin's springs. Changed the pads to HP5, bolted in roll bar, installed Sabelt seats and harness. Car did amazing well and here are a few picks.

Good news Joe Ernest will be joining me on this epic adventure. Will pick him up in Baltimore on the way to starting point. Finished the headlight and driving light wiring. New stereo with all six speakers replaced. Need to install new fuel pump, fuel filter, plug wires, cap and plugs New battery on the way. Arun

Hi all Confirmed entry of my 87 505 STI for the rally Jan 31 to Feb 4. This is the Lemons rally in which roadkill is filming an episode http://www.roadkill.com/come-run-lemons-winter-rally-roadkill/ Car is ready as it went thru last winter as a DD and a few snow storms. Not your typical hooptie ride since I grew up in Saskatchewan and am not going to take any chances with no heat or sub par equipment. There will be no camping or sleeping in the car. I will try to stay in the recommend hotels. The mods the car has so far are Torsen diff, Ray wheels with firestone winters, Porsche 944 rotors, Biode lights, Cibie 175 driving lights. I need to put in the OEM airbox with SC430 filter, change plug wires, plugs, dist and rotor cap, thermostat, stereo install and check fluids. Upgrade headlight harness. Just found out my friend is unable to attend. Anyone interested? Will also need to assemble possible spare, tools and winter supplies. Goal for the rally is to finish, take some pictures and video. Hi all Proud new owner of this car. Arrived yesterday. Need to change filters and fuel pump before start up, hasn't been driven since 2004. Joins the stable of two other V6's, this one is auto and will leave stock...for now.

Another bit of advise is don't wash the engine until the engine is running. You don't want to introduce a major factor of water to an engine with chewed wires. After it is running wash the engine carefully. Arun

I would recommend buy normal cheap oil for the first start and then change to f synthetic if the car runs. The cheap can act like a flush and if something major is wrong you haven't wasted expensive oil. Arun.

The question then is what would you do with the 10,000 dollars? My guess is that you would start looking for a very good used Peugeot.....after you cant find one you might consider offering the person you sold it to, a few extra thousand to buy it back. Hi Hugh Thanks for the comments. The STI is my current DD and I just added the winter tires on new16" bronze Volk Rays that look great. The price for the rims are getting higher as I paid 200/ea for the last pair and now have two full sets. The best mod so far are the progressive springs that are Rabins, that I forgot to send him and accidently installed. Other than the rims,tires, springs, calipers,Biodes and Torsen the car is stock. The STX will get the VEMS and turbo when I can convince Rabin to come down for a wrench week. Arun
