Talk about some unreal stories! As for the old school neck doughnuts, I burned mine up in a bon fire about 10 years ago. After seeing how badly they perform in real life crash tests I decided I'd never use it again. It also didn't hurt that I've been a HANS user since August of 2000. BTW, for a piece that was supposed to be fire proof the damn thing went up in flames big time! Cover was fire proof but the foam, well lets just say, not so much. Scary!
