  1. Thats Morris Marina in Finland, would say at that has disapeared nearly total from here. Taken by rust. Was pretty bad car to own, my friend did own one "coupe" with TC (twin carpurator) model. In winter it was cold and difficult to drive. V-M
  2. It's for set (4syl) and ordering is easy just jook on catalog and there is direst order number fot N9T engine. And if you have oversize, just mention that and Maria will give you details. ;-) I have talked via email and no brobs. V-M
  3. I recomend these-> http://www.deves.com/ you can find both rings (pug ti and volvo) from there. You can as also custom sizes and U have same price. Give my regards to Maria (Nedrow) in Deves. V-M P.S I recomend to read those tips also
  4. I think those are for 2L and 2.2L GTI/STI engine only ZDJL or ZEJ. V-M
  5. Yes, but only with glue or screw V-M
  6. Well, I can't say difference between those plates... That's OEM kit for TD version. Bearing is different than TD one. So original will hold 560Nm and this LuK was mentioned at it will hold +20% than original. V-M
  7. I have this 505TD 230mm set made by LuK currently. Only bearing have to be replaced of that set. That normal LuK set will hold ~600Nm. V-M
  8. Danielson head? U own real tool valve work! I have lookin that tool for years but seems at it's not available anymore. V-M
  9. Thx for kind words My english is crappy but try like hell Surely sandpaper is okay... BTW... I'll be on Holland, Amsderdam -> Den Haag (Hotel there) in start of next week. V-M
  10. Sorry Tama to fill my self on answers Any way that same address you can order custom pistons pretty deasant price, High quality turbo and race use. V-M
  11. Yep, outside diameter is wrong in those saab bearings. Those saab ones mainly used cause: 1. cheap 2. easy to find 3. bearings cheap and easy to find 4. strong (can take same as original ones) 5. and all model (b201 and b202 rods are the same, turbo or not) 6. lighter than original Engines are 2L engine. Used in 99 and 900 model saabs some where between 1975 -> 1995 V-M
  12. That volvo piston fits to saab rod without modifications. Volvo piston comes 2mm over deck so that have to taken of but just left 0.1-0.2mm over deck to ensure better gasget hold in high pressure. Volvo pistons have lot of material over upper piston ring so that could be easily taken of by lathe. If I remember correctly those gasget rings are re-usable but that grey part have to be ordered. One of nicest issue is at saab rod dimensions (bearing+width) fits directly to main cam and saab rod bearings are normal priced (~25€/4 rod set) and easily available. I have reserved couple sets of these volvo pistons and saab rods to build same if this my 96mm volvo piston project does not come alive V-M
  13. I bet at 505 coupe is bit rarer than dangel ;-) But that is realy nice one... it could be handy up here. V-M
  14. According manufacturer I'm bit doupting at those can be found in India Those have been manufactured only 16pcs in year 1980 for testing purposes in Europe. ET is nice on those -> 3 V-M

  16. I have no problems with my manifold, eaven I didn't do any heat treatment after welding. V-M
  17. Some glues does not held temperature and oil. I have never glued that... only water system used. V-M

  19. I'm not sure about that guy But that woman was not As I said "maybe it was me and my bad selection of bar" But I also said at there was a lot of better behaving ones... but that aproach was bit shocking. And if it happen only ones and in same area that I understand, but at different side of country? V-M (sorry about bringing this chitchat up, but this has musing me since then. I have trying to reasoning that question...but no luck). Meaning is not insult or anything... I know and understand people and continent differences (I have been around Globe)
  20. Same is my opinion... but that has happened many more times for me in US visits Also in Other side of country (LA area). Maybe reason is me or totally wrong place and people on those bar's which I selected Surely a lot of correctly acting ones meet also but those stange ones I remember. V-M
  21. Sorry for OT: I was bar in Florida Forth Laudertail and having beer. Guy next to me turns and say "hey". I sayed also "hey". Next one was "how much u make at year"? My asnw. "not your business to know it" He sayed at "he makes 50000$" I sayed "I could not care less" Second one was "Where do u live" I sayed "in Finland" He sayed "where is that" I sayed "in Europe" He sayed "Europe? in what state in US that is"? I turned my back for him and drinked my beer and changed bar. Nearly same thing happened in 3rd bar but there was she who started with out eaven saying "hey" She was directly asking "how much u make" I answered same way as before "not your business to know it" and I did get wierd looking from she (btw. she was dam good looking and nice one [not hooker]) she sayed at "she makes around 85000$/year". Then I desided to analyse this need of talking of salary more deeply... that poin did open me eaven 1,5 hour discution so we did change topic to something more interesting one (happened in 1992) Sorry for pointless OT V-M
  22. This is one is cheap alternative... http://kuvablogi.com/nayta/prev/img330702.jpg Those are from Suzuki 750 motorbike V-M
  23. Some comments... Intake is not limitter untill 400-450hp, surely with custom intake which have 4 separate flaps could have bit better flow in high revs but n9t is not build for high revs (heavy parts). - Block it self is dam thik and solid it can take surely as much hp as u can get but main axcel and originel rods and piston's are way too heavy for high rev. Eaven when balanced parts, mass is still too much. I hope I'll get my building spirit back some day (not done anything in over year). I have ready made MS waiting. OEM system with over 1bar seem's to be bit difficult to adjust... too many compromizes -> lack of hp but torgue is ok eaven with OEM system. Is distributor rotating? If yes, check at there is spark in every wires. V-M
  24. I would not use silicon based with rubber in same reason as cork, silicone makes it very slipery and gives posibility to move in temperature changes and also movement when thightening. If something is needed then I recomend hylomar. And surely with paper it's ok to use silicone based or something else like hylomar. One reason moving from cork was at it was wronly used by engine builders (leaking engines) and it's expencive to produce. V-M
