  1. V-M: We definitley won't be getting rid of any current posts. We have a lot of great info, and I don't want that to go anywhere. I've thought of sorting some of the general posts to more specific threads after they are setup, but this is going to break any bookmark, etc.. The forum does have a great search feature, but.... I like Bean's idea on the seperate threads for different series Peugeot's, as well as a thread dedicated to performance tuning and upgrades. I would still like to see what other people have to say.
  2. Back when we setup this forum, we went back and forth on how to set it up: - Create lots of topics for 405, 505, 504, 505 turbo tuning, etc etc. This was considered, but eventually we went away from this idea because we didn't want 3 posts in all forums. It'd make the forum look like it has NO traffic, so why bother posting! - Create fewer topics, and one main general thread which is where most discussion would take place for the time being (How it's setup now). But now that we've been getting more traffic on the site, we're wondering what all you would think about splitting up the forum into a little more specific categories. Of course the title of the site is 505 Turbo specific, but we'd really like to make this a forum for all Peugeot owners. Maybe add a 405, 505, and 505 tuning/performance threads? Suggestions?
  3. You should all be able to follow this thread in our Peugeot-L archives: http://www.505turbo.com/peugeotlist2/02/2006/6549.html
  4. We have just added a new section to our website: Readers rides Yq397r is the first member listed, which can be found here: http://www.505turbo.com/readers_rides.php?fa=Yq397r If you would like your car posted as well, e-mail or PM me with the following format: - Year - Model - Engine - Complete description, modifications, future modifications, or anything related. - Full sized images
  5. This was actually a very old message. We had 2 general threads when we first set the forum up. The other one was redundant, so we got rid of it. I know what you mean about the forum only seeming to have one thread, but here's the problem: This forum doesn't get much traffic. If we divide it into other sections, it'll start to look empty, which we don't want. If we start to get more traffic it will definitely get divided into sub-sections.
  6. Welcome to the forum brownie! You have a very nice 505 GTi indeed.
  7. Those 18 inch rims have gotta make the ride harsh!

Aaaah aren't rental's fun? If you think that's fast, Imagine the 300 C SRT-8. I think that has somewhere around 425hp
  12. This is a great one. Jean Ragnotti is driving the crap out of his Renault, and does a 360 across the finish line on the last lap. There's also a quick shot of what looks like the 505 "SUPER Production" race car. Check the Video's page for screenshot and details, or click on the link below to the raw movie: Jean-Ragnotti_360_degre.avi Enjoy!
  13. Also, this car supposedly uses the 0 280 150 200 injectors which were supposed to come with the US Spec N9TEA's. (300cm3/min @ 3.0bar FP)
  14. Metako: If you don't mind me asking, where have you found upgraded sway bars and urothane bushings for the 505 turbo? I'm not sure about the other items, but I'm cuerious to see what you find. Please keep us updated!
  15. The language barrier is the largest for me. I'm sure there's some great info on that forum though. I should really think about taking some french classes.
  16. This is a picture of the engine bay of the 200cv 'Production' 505 Race car. A few interesting points: AFM with blue cover, different then US spec? Pipe tapping into the back of the intake manifold? Different brake master cylinders Different throttle cable wheel (for more throttle response?) Let us know if anyone out there has any details on the highlighted items, or has any technical info on the setup this car (or similar 200cv kits) used!
  17. Excellent find once again Toni!!! I've added the video's to the Video's section of the site. I wish the music wasn't quite so loud as it'd be nice to hear that monster of an engine! Did you all see the turbo? Jesus! Any idea who the webmaster is for that site? Or how I may be able to contact him/her? I'd love to get a link up on their "Liens" page
  18. Happy holiday's all! The 2 new Nicolas Halogen 505 turbo race car video's have been added to the Video's section of the website. (http://heligon505.free.fr) ~webmaster PS. I'll try to get an accurate screen capture for the second video. The one on the souce website was half loaded and i'm not sure why I can't take capture's from wmv format movies.
  19. Welcome to 505turbo.com Juha! There was some talk on turbo upgrades a while back, and I believe there are a few people in progress of upgrading, but I'm not sure of the status. You can find info on the turbo upgrade thread here: http://www.505turbo.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=108&hl= Do you have any pictures of your car?
  20. New Video added to the video's section of the site. http://www.505turbo.com/videos.php Happy holidays!
  21. Your right Bean, I should have mentioned the filter "priming". However I'd still suggest running oil through the engine before a dry(ish) start after an oil change. This is a technique I've seen a few Peugeot and Citroen mechanics use in the past, so I've always tried to follow it. ("Especally on turbo-charged cars") I've always had the best luck with Purflux filters, and try to stick with them. Mann filters also seem ok, and are available at most Europen parts sources (around here anyway). (Madhu at Disortex actually recommended Mann filters last time I spoke with him)
  22. Always remember to _prime_ your turbo cars after an oil change. Ground the coil wire and crank for 10-15 seconds (that's what I generally like to do).
  23. Here's a link to a supercharger kit for the Mi16: http://www.ecosse-peugeot.co.uk/show_product.asp?id=1094 Not cheap, but it would be fun! (and another one:) http://phyr.theredsky.com/gallery/Steve-Scharged-MI16-tech
  24. Thanks Bean! (annonay-2005 fixed, thanks for letting us know! )
