Guest adegnes
My car will (hopefully) get back from the painter soon, so its time to start workin on the engine. This is what I've got: '86 n9te in good shape (overhauled not long ago, and head just welded) - .....200 injectors - ported head and intake - big FMIC - just one free-flow muffler - stock turbo (with some minor porting in the compressor house) - running at 1,1bar boost on 99oct For upgrades I was thinking: - 3bar FPR - Bigger injectors (seems to be different opinions on this... do I really need bigger injectors with the 3bar FPR?) - T3T4 hybrid turbo - 3" downpipe - some kind of resirk valve to reduce lag - raise boost to ~1,4bar - (water injection) how much hp do you think I can sqeeze out of this setup? could I be closing in on 300bhp? (without blowing the engine...) I will have to make a custom manifold for the T3T4, but maybe as a start I'll just add a bend on the oem manifold, kind of like an adapter to make the new turbo top mounted (was'nt this done on a car on this forum? how did it work?) also, will the oem engine managment be sufficient? EDIT: Interested in selling that adapter thingie V-M? http://kotinetti.suomi.net/enkenberg/Project/index3.html it could easily be altered to fit the T3T4... Should be around 300hp from engine in that setup, if you have original cam. With dani or some other modified cam it will be more. Flange is sold in last year August V-M
