krede
I finally recieved my turbo, but it lookes like it has seen better days.... I have no real experience with turbos, but have read that its not a big deal to rebuild it yourself. Have anyone here done so?

Bean
I've rebuilt a couple turbo's and it's dead simple - As long as there is no physical damage to the impellers due to contact of any kind. Simply disassemble and reassemble making sure to put it back together in the same orientation. I'd also look at buying the parts directly instead of getting a rebuild kit - my first "kit" cost $300 USD, and it was only after I found out I could have bought the needed parts for around $50 direct from a turbo shop... That may have changed - but all you need are the brass "bearings" and the oil seals. Good luck on the rebuild! Rabin
