august
Does anyone have experience with Deves piston rings? The OEM rings are pretty damn expensive ($300+) but supposedly are the best route to go. Just cuerious..
Trevor
The secret is in the Swedish steel!
august
it's in the special steel, and not the sealing right?
Trevor
Sealing isn't important. Remember how my 505 was before the rebuild and how well it ran? I dont think there was a single gasket that sealed. see, not important!
Guest CATALIN505
yes that is.
V-M
I have used rings from Federal Mogul (Goetche) for std size. cost is ~180$ (150€) I have factory order for those. Those are good also. I have good experience Deves also, my Opel fiends (finish ones) are ordering rings for vauxhals and opels (old ones) and they are happy on products and delivery very good also. Trevor
glad to hear the deves seem ok. I installed a set in my rebuilt motor. They seem awesome so far, we'll see how they hold up. :-)
