krede
Am I right in assuming that the knock sensor on the n9te(a) is just a "piggy back" unit intercepting the ignition timing signal from the ECU and changing it if knocking is present in the engine? Johnny
On the N9TEA-engines the knocksensing-device is built into the ignition-ECU.
krede
On the N9TEA-engines the knocksensing-device is built into the ignition-ECU. OK... but what about the t and te's? Im pretty sure I saw a seperate "box" for knocksensor on one of these..
Johnny
That's possibly, I know that those engines have more boxes than the N9TEA. I'm sure that someone else here knows.
august
nah the knock system is all built into the ecu(s), no separate ecu is used for that.
