Marc
Can anyone give detailed instruction on the how to adjust the lifters pn a 1987 STX 2.8 liter engine. From what i understand the engine has Volvo inserts on the lifter, is this correct and, can they be adjusted or do i have to buy new inserts? SRDT
Yes valve lash can be adjusted with a screwdriver and a spanner. The Peugeot 2.8 ZN3J is the same as the Volvo B280, I belive the only thing that differ is the conterweight system on the passenger head and maybe the fine tweaking of the LH Jetronic. You can use one of those: http://workshop-manuals.com/peugeot/505/v6-2849cc_2.8l_zn3j/engine_cooling_and_exhaust/engine/tune-up_and_engine_performance_checks/valve_clearance/system_information/technical_service_bulletins/page_1204/ http://workshop-manuals.com/volvo/760/v6-2849cc_2.8l_sohc_b280f/powertrain_management/tune-up_and_engine_performance_checks/valve_clearance/system_information/specifications/page_1855/
