  1. Does anyone know the site that shows how to change over a 505 sunroof from electric to manuel?
  2. I saw this once on utube and now i can't find the vidio. Does anyone know how to change a electrict sunroof on a 505 to manuel?
  3. 87 STX....A 30 day old rebuilt Delco starter wiring fell apart and shot electricity threw my wires. Problems: 1. fuel pump not getting electricity, I can start the car if if hot wire the fuel pump. 2. Head and tail lights and electrict windows only work if the engine/key is in the off position. I replaced the four electrical harnesses going to the engine and nothing changed. Has anyone had a starter freeze up with these problems. Please help, this has been going on for over a year.

  6. Does anyone know anything about electrical back grounding when a started locks up sending electricity through the wires. I'm experiencing this im my 97 505stx.
  7. Can anyone point to to anybody who knows anything about back grounding electrical problems when a started locks up a shoots electricity through the wires. I'm a a loss on my 87 505stx.
  8. I've taken all the advice given on this site and the last one given was to check the wires running down the driver side of the engine and see if they were melted. I did that and none were melted. I am still having the problem of my 87 505 stx 2.8 liter Peugeot only when the key in in the off position the windows and heater/air conditioner fan works only when the dome light is in the on position also, i have know power going to the fuel pump fuses behind the ashtray. Someone said that it might be the main computer but, the car starts and runs if i run a hot wire from the fuel pump to the battery. This all started after i installed a rebuilt Delco starter. Would it be possible to run a dionostic test on it at this point at a local auto repair shop and this run down the ground problem or do i need to take it to a forien car repair shop. All i know is that at the power plug in terminals by the battery the double plug-in that i think goes to the ignition switch also, when unplugged turns off the dome light, heater ect., so is this a good place to start dionostic testing and it it possible that a rebuilt starter can cause such ground problems?
  9. Can anyone give detailed instruction on the how to adjust the lifters pn a 1987 STX 2.8 liter engine. From what i understand the engine has Volvo inserts on the lifter, is this correct and, can they be adjusted or do i have to buy new inserts?

I've gone over the wires in my stx a hundred times and found no wires fused together or not in perfect condition and i am still having the windows and heater work only when the ignition key is in the off position also, their is no power going through the fuel pump fuses behind the ashtray so, to start the car i have to run a hot wire from the fuel pump but, i am afraid to drive it because, it seems to be blowing out the fuel pump relay. Recently i have replaced the alternator, starter and coil, but in the past i ran it for awhile with a coil that was not the right coil and the coil stopped working and burned out the ignition module.
  11. On a 505 stx back brakes I was told that you will lose you emergency brakes permanently if you don't turn one quarter turn the calipers puston. My question is: if that is true which way do you turn it clock wise or counter clock wise? My second question is: while I'm putting in new brake pads, i want to also put in new caliper kits, but can i take the tension spring off and release the emergency brake cable or does that connected to the quarter turn thing on the caliper, it seems to me that it would have to be connected if not turning it would permanently remove the ability to use it.
  12. My 505 STX heater fan ground and hot wirea are both getting current causing the heater fan and windows to work only when the key is in the off position. I can't find any fused wires going to or from the key swith. This began after a copper wire inside my starter broke and fried the inside. I have replaced the starter and the car was starting, now it will not start. My question is: is it possible that the ignition module can cause this power problem at the fan if it's burned out and somehow fusing the power current.
  13. Can some one tell me what runs off the relay that has a dio plugged into it on a 505 stx? I am not getting spark at the coil and i am going to replace the ignition module, but the dio relay has power to only one post.
  14. Does anyone know why a 505 stx heater and windows stay on when the key switch is off?
