billbranch Posted March 25, 2015 Report Share Posted March 25, 2015 I am getting a noise from the tach area. 91 505 Turbo. It sounds almost like a buzzing relay, a little like a plastic drum roll. A buzz around 1200 rpm in neutral coasting bin gear or idling G sitting still. Tones down above 2200 hut then it's drowned out by engine noise. Can tach wear out or need lube? Bean Posted March 28, 2015 Report Share Posted March 28, 2015 Might be worthwhile to pull out the cluster and ensure everything is seated.
