Selling 1985 Peugeot 505 TD STI, 105K, Leather, Auto

Recommended Posts

Acquired a new project now selling one….only allowed one garage space. :(

1985 Peugeot 505 STI Turbo Diesel

105,xxx miles – and counting. It is my current daily driver. Runs great and doesn’t burn/leak oil. The winter so far has been to low 30’s and starts easy on first try.

My commute is a mix of stop-n-go and I am averaging 23 mpg. The A/C works and I believe is R-12 doesn’t appear to have been converted going by the fittings.

Acquired from a gentleman that had stopped driving it after a power steering rack issue and was going to use the engine for a sailboat.

Had been sitting for a few years so I have replaced the following laundry list of items:

  1. Front and rear rotors
  2. Front inner and outer bearings
  3. Front and rear brake pads
  4. Rebuilt rear calipers
  5. Master cylinder
  6. 4 tires
  7. 4 glow plugs
  8. All belts
  9. Transmission cooler lines
  10. Fuel filter/water separator
  11. Rebuilt power steering rack
  12. Tie rod ends
  13. Ball joint
  14. Alignment
  15. New paint – not a custom job but looks decent
  16. Oil and oil filter
  17. Transmission oil and filter
  18. Rear differential oil change

The following items I haven’t addressed:

  1. Sunroof does not open, but does not leak.
  2. Two rear electric windows not working
  3. Passenger window is slow
  4. No spare rim – have a tire

Beautiful car! I hope you find a buyer that appeciates the work and condition of the car as it is well worth the money.

Out of curiousity - may I ask what the new project is? Your email addy decribes my 06' V70R nicely. :)
