billbranch
Hi, Everybody, On the aluminum plate/bracket on which the ignition coil and ignition module are mounted, there's a component of the system with an electric connector with vacuum/boost tubing bolted to the stud closest to the firewall. There are provisions for I believe three tubes to be connected. Can anyone identify this part and tell me if its not being used will have an effect on performance. Thank you. Bean
Sorry Bill - I missed this post too! I'll check my car tomorrow and advise. Rabin
Bean
I could not for the life of me find this post on my phone, and just remembered again and had to log into my computer to find it. The little device you're asking about is the vacuum control solenoid for the cruise control. Side outlet goes to the cruise diaphram, the top hose goes under the battery tray somewhere. If the lines that did attach to it are plugged there is no performance issue at all, if open then you would obviously have a vacuum leak. Did you want me to take a pic? billbranch
Thanks, Rabin. I never use the cruise anyway. My main concern was that it had something to do with engine performance. No need for the picture. Do you want my old '89 V6 rotors?
