Bean Posted March 3, 2013 Report Share Posted March 3, 2013 Hi Ken, The grommet in the firewall likely needs to be freed from the firewall, and then it should feed right out. Is this a 2pc cable? If so you should remove the sensor on the cable as well as it needs to come off. Every cable I've had go out fails right at the transmission, but well worth it to pull the top section as well to clean and lube (graphite) it up for some preventative maintenance if you're that deep into it already.
