Bean
Best way is to bring the #1 piston to TDC on the compression stroke, then align the distributor so that the rotor is pointing to the #1 piston, then time your car so that it's the 10 degree mark which is basically between the 12 and 8 degree lines. Freddedw
Thanks! i havent cleaned it properly, last time i looked i could only see lines. I timed it on i guess the second or third line on the left side on TDC line. Is there also figures so i can se "10"?
Bean
There is a line in between the 12 and 8 marks - it's just not labelled. I just checked my timing when diagnosing my car so it's fresh in my mind. Pretty sure it's 12 - 8 - 4 - 0 - 4 - 8 on the scale with lines for the numbers and the dashes.
