Johnny
I was thinking maybe you could take the waterpump apart and change bearings and seals in it. But how do you get it apart? Do I have to remove the pump wheel from the axle to get it apart?
Bean
If I were to guess - you'd need to remove the pulley and push the shaft with the impeller out the back side. Once out hopefully you would have access to the bearings and seals. No idea though as it was easier to just by a replacement the last time I did it. Johnny
No I haven't found replacement bearings, I'll go hunt for those when I get the waterpump open so I can see part # and take measurements.

Johnny
You know how to get them open? Is it like Rabin said?
Bean
I was just guessing - so confirmation on disassembly would be great. As for bearings - as long as you can match the ID of the bearing to suit the shaft, a bearing with a bit larger OD means you just machine the housing to suite it. Same thing with the seal if that's the case. I did exactly that when working on a 1930's gas powered welder with a leaking water pump. New bearings and seal and it just took a little machining to get it to work very nicely. Rabin
