  1. thats funny, I didnt notice all the racks before but i did think it looked right on it. Update on the car, i went to drive it last week and it started missing. I found that it was the injector not spraying, it was clicking just no gas comming out. I pulled the injectors and that one was clogged on the inlet side. the others were a little dirty but not as bad, then found that the fuel rail had a tone of crap in it so i ran the pum with the line in a coke bottle and got a little trash, so now i have to pull the tank and see how bad it is and try to get it all cleaned out before it will be hitting the road. As far as running with the rack on i was hoping to have it going before autocrossing starts here so i can use it some in place of my firebird.
  2. Well im just about finished, turbo re-built, the running trouble i was having a week ago turned out to be the in tank pump was bad. now i just need to get the fuel guage working.
  3. yea i got it set correctly per the directions, im going to try taking it off and cleaning it
  4. yea thats the way i already set it up. still get the fault code 5
  5. looks like i remembered it wrong, fault 5 shows signal from pententiometer is greater than 4.3 volts, try with a new pententionmeter. I wonder if i can clean the contacts on it, they car has been sitting for a little bit, i had to clean all the tail light and front parking light connections for them to work.
  6. I have set this and im still having trouble, i get the five flash fault code, i believe its for vlt to low. My question is what vlt should i read at the plug feeding the tps. im getting 5 volts coming to the sensor. and at wot i only get around 3.4, that seems low but from what i read it said that at wot it should be close to full feed voltage. so i didnt know if the wot voltage could be the problem or should i be getting 12 volts to the sensor to begin with.
  7. that is how i have mine wired up and works great, i can get the number wire that goes to the car sensor wire when i get home.
  8. I just put one on mine, I went to the junk yard and measured every alt i could find in a gm and all of them are i think 1" 1/2 on the larger mount, and the peugot was 1", I just got one that had the extra width on one side and cut it off, working good so far.
  9. im going to say its the 1st one, he said it would be good for a little over 300whp. very nice guy if anyone ever needs to get anything done i recommend him.
  10. this is the place that did it = http://bnrsupercars.com/ I know he said new center housing and upgraded compressor wheel i think and did some work on the compressor housing.
  11. Update; I decided to go ahead and have the one i took off rebuilt. new housing and some small upgrades. it is on now but the alt is bad now so still working on it.
  12. I might be interested in the turbo for 200, i will let you know
  13. little update: i have taken the turbo apart but have not tried to clean it yet. as you can see from the pics it was very nasty on the exhaust side only.
  14. seems to run fine, i had it idle for about 10 min but the smoke was kind of bad and my wife wanted me to stop. i checked the compression and it seemed good so i hope the motor is fine, i was thinking of trying to run the car without the turbo just to see if it runs ok just need to find a way to loop the oil line to the drain.
