  1. For those of us on the west coast, this maybe of interest: http://www.craigslist.org/pen/car/131559220.html Jeff
  2. I've got these same HID's in my 81 TD, and they do throw a decent amount of light. I've been trying to cross reference some yellow bulbs for the euro versions that some of us have as well.
  3. I have to agree about the lighter colors tend to show the nice body lines of the 505. As for the side mouldings on these second generation beauties, it had to go on mine. Just plain bulky, and hides the contour line that is actually there. As for bigger rubber in those wheel wells? Yes and yes, our slection with the stock 15" wheels is limited, but I made the best of it, and am currently running some Dunlops, 205/50/15. They maybe shorter, but that little bit of additional width, as kept the rear of my V6 in conformation. Jeff
  4. Nice photo August. Hummm, I'm imagining plumbing in a intercooler from the gas version?
  5. I sure would like to know myself, what these little diesels can put out. I recently bought a 81 505 TD for daily commuting, and to be able to keep my 89 V6 off the the road, to continue working on restoration. This TD has a noticable difference in power, than the 82 TD I had 12 years ago. This car can easly maintain 75 mph on 6% grades on the highway, not bad for a 283,000 original miles. Ironic, I have a pumped up Ford powerstroke, that really drives like a big block gas motor. I use it to haul my travel trailer and haul my Citroen Ami to shows, otherwise its just a beast to drive everyday. Besides, I'm a Peugeot guy. Jeff
  6. Group purchase anyone? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...Y_BIN_Stores_IT
  7. Did you find another source for after market wheels?
  8. Your right August. The only ZF4HP22 coupled to the 2.5 liter diesel, was in 1986 in the USA market. And that number is small. The only other person that may have one laying around, is Greg at Rhino Motors in Seattle. Jeff
  9. I'm 42, I started riding in Peugeots since 1968. It was my neighbors 404, and I guess the feeling never left me. Bought my wife an 82 turbo diesel in 1994, and some how ended up driving it for a daily work car, for many years. Have had others, several 84-85 sedans with the xn6 engines, and one wagon. Currently drive for work, is a 81 turbo diesel, with 293,000 miles on it, (the seats are just beginning to break in), and is extremely realiable. Also have an 89 V6 sedan, with 23,000 originals miles on it, that is finally off the road, to complete the restoration. For being a V6, makes even late model Bmw's at 100 mph, take a second look in the rear view mirror as I flash the ole' headlights, to have them pull to the right. Restoration? The car was never garaged, so its mainly cosmetics, and I plan to have a 9.0 car when finished. August has seen the car earlier this year. I have other french cars, but that's another story. Happy motoring to all, always glad to be different. Anyone can have a Jap import, but it takes Lion pride, to own a Peugeot ! Jeff
  10. Hi all, my first post on this site, and its not Peugeot related, but a close relative. Ahhh, what to do with an old R16: http://www.jagpromotions.com/bill/autoscen...renault16eb.htm Jeff
