  1. I remember seeing 505's run at Laguna Seca back in the day. That last photo you posted took me back a few years. Still remember the very competitive Renault Le Car as well! Jeff
  2. Peugeottogo

    1972 SM

also, is there a email address i can get you at to talk about the SM's?
  3. Yep, sold the car last May. The only 505 that I've owned that could break traction with a automatic in second gear. He did tell that the police in town were giving him hell for the amber head lights. He told them to compare it to another 89 Peugeot to see if he wasn't compliant! (Good luck finding another 89 to look at!) They haven't bothered him since I last heard from him. I'm the only Peugeot guy on the Monterey Peninsula Jeff
  4. August, I'm waiting for Daryl to send me a few more detailed photos. Thus far, all exterior pieces are intact and in good condition. (as we know how hard this last generation body style can be for those parts!) I'll keep this thread updated. Jeff
  5. I'm thinking it won't fit due to the diameter of the opening in the pre 86 model steering column.
  6. Even noticed the detail that the electric window switch locations are filled with the appropriate blanks.
  7. Rabin, the doors appear to be GL versions for sure. Did you notice the side rearview mirrors, pre 86? More like 1984-85 doors. Jeff
  8. Alright, Who's going to rescue this? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/peugeot-505...033103302QQrdZ1 Jeff
  9. Ok August, I had some spare time, I called the sales lot where it is located. Tony, the owner of the lot, originally sold Peugeots in the same area, and sold this car when it was new. It has had two owners, and the second one sold it to Tony this year. 93,000 original miles, clean car fax and service records. He will be sending me a full photo diary of the car over the weekend. Here is the kicker, he has stored many late model 505 parts, that he purchased when the dealership where had worked closed. He must have known that they would become of value later. I'll keep the group updated, Jeff
  10. August, I didn't give them a call. Just to tempting, even to find out it's an automatic. Is this one of only 13 in the USA? My better half would have me shot, if this car showed up in front of my house on a transport. Jeff
  11. Hey guys, Anyone in the North Carolina area? This could be a once in a life time find: http://classycars4u.com/cardata/cars.asp?s_make=peugeot Jeff
  12. Nice photos! And just look at the different selection of wheels. Jeff
  13. August, I've left a few email responses, but haven't had a reply yet. Jeff
  14. Dave, Rabin is right about realistic values for such a car. I just recently sold my 89 505 V6 S, with 24,000 miles, to a buyer that was not a Peugeot enthusiast, but has become one! Here's a link to photos: http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/peugeottogo/album?.dir=211fscd The car sold for 5K within 5 days of publicizing it. So who knows, there could be a buyer willing to pay a premium for yours. Jeff
  15. Guys, found this on Craigslist: http://www.craigslist.org/pen/car/164776032.html I have no relation with the seller. Jeff
  16. It was a cool car to own. I really don't know how many 1989 V6 versions remain alive, as we know the turbo models remaining are just a handful. Jeff
  17. Sorry for the delay in my response. The car has been sold to a buyer in Palo Alto. Here's a photo of the euro headlamps with the amber bulbs: http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/peugeottogo/...scd.jpg&.src=ph Link to the bulbs, this guy has them posted every once and awhile: http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQfgtpZ1QQfrppZ2...sZmistercitroen Happy motoring, Jeff
  18. Yq397r , I've run blended biodiesel in mt TD a few times, without any ill affects. To do the full veggie conversion, I'm thinking the bosch pump will be fine, but one have to change any rubber fuel lines. My six year old now calls our turbo diesel the french fryer. Jeff
  19. It would be fun to run a few turbos on the V6, heck even a super charger would be nice
  20. August, for us family guys, this could be a good buy if the discriptions are right. Jeff
  21. I feel that the origin of this site is the gas turbo 505's. For us that own other versions, there are many topics that relate to all model 505's located here, that are very resourceful. The minority group that we are as owners of any Peugeot model prior to 1992, there are very few sites that are helpful. If you want to add more folders for different series models, you may generate even more traffic. This traffic you invite is a good thing, they are just a few more believers in keeping the Lion alive, regardless of which model. Jeff
  22. Hi all, I have the U.S. spec. glass euro headlamp assemblies on my 89 505. After a few members have mentioned the amber bulbs for these light assemblies, and a few photos posted here and there, I decided to install some for myself. I located a pair of Bilux H4's 60/55 W amber bulbs. As we know, some of us run the higher wattages, but I have to admit, these amber bulbs change the characteristics of the entire front profile of the 505. Will try to find time to post some photos, or maybe I can get one of the many on lookers to send me a photo ! JD
  23. Well that sure answers that. More power is always a bonus , even when factory equipt. I see a price slash just for these reasons alone, more Like around $ 3,000.00
  24. August, yep price is kinda steep. First glance, and I thought I was seeing your old one. What advantages between the 87 and the 88?
