  1. I did open 2 engines in my piston search but only 2 valid pistons found. 4 was totally collapsed and 2 other was worn in rings. I have third one which I'll open next time I have time (dunno when). V-M
  2. XUD engine ones (any 1.9,2.1,2.3,2.5), u need to open also down part of front cover when takeing head off. V-M
  3. U can use Diesel version tensioner, not so easy to use (no acceess from that side plug) but can be used. V-M
  4. Yes, they are. Bolts are not adjusting head in correct place with out them. Remember to check how much metal from surface is removed! -> compression change and piston travel! V-M
  5. Nooo: NOX is Nitro Gas Sure! share the maps. V-M
  6. Originel bearings, those 2.3L (96mm) Volvo pistons fit nicely in originel con rod (with small machining work). Those originel bearings can handle all power you can gain without NOX V-M
  7. Compression would be around 8.7 to 8.5 depending how deep cuts are made for valves. Volume increase in minimal, compare 91.7mm -> 92mm piston. V-M
  8. Coswoth pistons are good but expencive, you could use also B21et Volvo pistons (92mm) but you need different length con rods (shorter) like Saab ones. I have those dimensions some where. Also I have 3 sets (used) of those 92mm Volvo pistons. V-M
  9. Well I'm using 96mm pistons (volvo) at N9T bloc and originel head gasget. So you figure out? V-M
  10. Sorry at my answer is pending Some unspected issues keeps coming, but I'll try to see pistons asap and there is slide posibility to deliver those with one hobbyist who is coming at your meeting in end of month (depending if pistons suits and we can agree price). V-M
  11. Good wire picture is coming up on Tonis web page I have sent original picture for scan and he will put it on there. http://peugeot505.info/ V-M
  12. Nope, stop thinking V-M
  13. Separately no ing. timing, if you have original system. V-M
  14. NOOOO you just did understud Me wrong... that was installed on that car when I bought it. That is now removed and archived in store room. I'm not planning to used it anywere at all. This manifold is my current one -> http://kotinetti.suomi.net/enkenberg/Project/index.html pictures at start V-M
  15. Messing is okay behind plastic is idle screw and other one is just blocking hole -> that is place for air condition idle control valve. V-M
  16. Long story But blackness is caused usually this crap EGR valve (which I allways remove from operation). V-M
  17. Black one is for ign advance control wandering in caused by gap in distrib and gear pin below. "speed sensor" that you can remove and throw away I'ts only for tester. V-M
  18. Pictures added on web page -> http://kotinetti.suomi.net/enkenberg/Project/index3.html Also piston rings found -> Oldsmobile 401cid 92mm piston rings -> http://kotinetti.suomi.net/enkenberg/Proje...g_proj_011.html Only two upper rings can be used but old oil rings can beused and those needs only soft sandpaper touch (800-1200 grind) in cylinder side surface. Good thing is with those rings at ring cap can be adjusted to correct size (0.3mm). Those cylinders are first fixed with ridge reamer -> http://kotinetti.suomi.net/enkenberg/Proje...g_proj_009.html More info of reamer -> http://mgaguru.com/mgtech/tools/ts311.htm V-M
  19. This thikness issue is allways "good" discutions issue But using std exhaust pipe has been good in my applications. thick pipe has also some good and bad issues like it also stores heat longer and does not "give" it away, weight problem (could need some support). etc. so in my POW normal thiknes has more good issuest than thicker ones. This in not so bad conversion at all, I must give gredit to guy who did make it. (was not my idea) I'll take some better pictures now, cause I have removed it from car. V-M
  20. IHMO: under ~300hp setups that kind of thing does not have any effect. If you have seen fex Sierra Cosworth originel exh then you know. And they take over 300hp with that. V-M
  21. Jep, there is adaptor pipe from org manifold to turbo. I'll take picture of it. V-M
  22. I did go and pick this one from UmeƄ Sweden in just before cristmas (drived more than 800km in slippery weather with trailer) and this had craked engine (syl 1 con rod worn to end) http://kotinetti.suomi.net/enkenberg/Peuge...wed_87_002.html http://kotinetti.suomi.net/enkenberg/Peuge...wed_87_003.html http://kotinetti.suomi.net/enkenberg/Peuge...wed_87_004.html http://kotinetti.suomi.net/enkenberg/Peuge...wed_87_005.html http://kotinetti.suomi.net/enkenberg/Peuge...wed_87_006.html http://kotinetti.suomi.net/enkenberg/Peuge...wed_87_007.html http://kotinetti.suomi.net/enkenberg/Peuge...wed_87_008.html http://kotinetti.suomi.net/enkenberg/Peuge...wed_87_009.html http://kotinetti.suomi.net/enkenberg/Peuge...wed_87_001.html Now new engine is build and next thing is to register it to Finland (not so easy) I used Cadillac 401cid pistonrings (92mm) but not oilrings. Car it self was driven 208tkm, and luckily last owner did only 2tkm of it but did make many modifications as you can see. I removed all added and rebuid with original ones. Turbo, IC, airfilter, exthaust etc... Then plan is to sell it right away cause I have new interest -> 406 coupe with V6 I'm also selling this one -> -85 driven 150tkm http://kotinetti.suomi.net/enkenberg/Peuge...e_aihio_01.html http://kotinetti.suomi.net/enkenberg/Peuge...e_aihio_02.html V-M
  23. Just teasing you , thats correct -> dani head plugs are C8E:s Originel Bosch works okay also tuned engine very well. Of cause you have more extreme conditions with hot weather. Then you could use one point colder plugs that should help. V-M
  24. Surely, let's see. Now when snow is melting I can go in store room and see what I have. Are you familiar with these? ->Chrysler club and Milan Topez in there? V-M
