  1. ah That's no good. sorry about your luck... it does look pretty fixable though. New rim and a power steering rack. How is the suspension?
  2. yeah the original blue colour. We'll see how it turns out.
  3. yeah, i couldn't find a hood and fender that were the exact same colour so I am repainting the whole car. we'll see how it goes. hopefully I will feel better about it when it is done.
  4. Got the frame fixed, Brian from Peugeot Holm in Vermont hooked me up with a fender. Still need to get a cooling fan, but it's fine for now. the new core support is welded in & it's getting painted in the next few weeks. After that hook up the wiring harness and put it back together... a good set of used tires and hopefully i'll be back in business. We will see. oh yea, and a new alternator belt...
  5. Frame is fixed, Brian at Peugeot Holm in Vermont hooked me up with a fender, etc. It's getting painted in the next few weeks so I hope to have it all sorted by March? This is it getting flatbedded after the frame fixing:
  6. Success! Made two of each w/ the old logo and the new logo
  7. I tried creating one of my own... we will see if it actually gets printed due to copyright or whatever
  8. http://clunkbucket.com/wp-content/gallery/...on/img_5601.jpg Where can I find one of these bumper stickers? I want one... tried searching around with no luck. I'm sure I could put a Citroën logo and text together and upload one to cafepress or something?
  9. Anything can be imported into the US that is 25 years old or older. Anything newer you're pretty much SOL. In Canada it's 15 years. It's pretty ridiculous. NHTSA/Transport Canada need to harmonize their car safety regulations/import regulations with the rest of the world UNECE regs...
  10. Hi Bill Shoot me an email kdavies5 at gmail.com I am interested in the Fender!
  11. Yea I talked with Brian from Peugeot Holm in VT, he said the same thing about the bias control valve. My rears are definitely having issues. good news is I found a donor car. Two of them actually. the first one was an exact copy of mine. blue with blue leather. unfortunately the parts yard dropped a 92 corolla onto the front corner crunching the hood, passenger headlight and passenger front fender... the exact body parts I need. http://www.flickr.com/photos/29920372@N05/3965613655/ Found another one this morning @ a different place that has most everything I need. the passenger fender is a little beat up but I think it could be mended. The hood seems ok. The AC condenser is toast but the fan and housing are still there/intact. It's engine bay is completely gone though heh. Only new parts I think I need to buy... so far... is a radiator. $300ish With the 20 or so lost to C4C I'll be damned if I don't get mine back on the road.
  12. I can find a parts car or get the front end parts off the one in a junkyard, cut the front end off. I can get the frame straightened for about $200, I wanted/to paint the car anyway so, more motivation to do that.
  13. http://www.flickr.com/photos/29920372@N05/...in/photostream/ It was raining... a mexican guy in a late 90s grand prix slammed on his brakes in front of me... even though i had 3-4 car lengths i skidded into him. he drove off... i could drive it back to my place though. blah
  14. I always manage to get stopped by immigrants from the french speaking african countries "aye where d'ja get dat Peugeot man" even though Honda and Toyota have taken over there now I guess there is quite the soft spot for the cars still.
  15. The only thing the US scrappage scheme was designed for was to boost truck sales, the Only thing currently in Chryslers lineup that is competitive. Basically any truck/full sized van qualifies, it's the cars where things become overly complicated and as Nissan/Renault CEO Charles Goshen said all this is doing worldwide is pulling sales forward... what happens when sales crash again after these programs are over? --------------------- and not that it matters but i voted for Kucinich for president. Obama is doing or acting no more or less than I expected him to. Please note though... there are no true liberals in US government other than Bernie Sanders and Dennis Kucinich. The problem is we have swung so far to the right politically in this country that anything remotely resembling progress, change or is not pure laissez-faire capitalism is decried as socialism when it is anything but. We need a balance of both left and right, but it will never happen. a true 3rd party needs to make its self available because as it stands we have a centre/right party and a far/right party. We are easier to control when divided and fighting amongst ourselves. The past 20 years have proven that over and over.
  16. subscript i have some replacement lug bolts, i had to swap one that i stripped getting off. i live in northern columbus if you are interested. you can check them out and see if they are okay.
  17. nice. what did you make the centre cap out of?
  18. ur such an attention whore yea yea, i do the same thing
  19. Since it was sold here the euro spec ones are easier to get ahold of. I like the whip antenna and the small bumpers
  20. Any other interior shots? $2k seems fair for a car like that. My paint is doing the same thing on the hood. Also let me know if you find those frames and how much you want for them.
  21. Nice car. Unrelated but do you have any more of those Peugeot plate frames? id be interested in a couple if you do let me know how much.
  22. If you dont mind not having OEM any auto parts store should have them. I got a replacement one that got stripped at Pep Boys
  23. chrysler and the other american automakers had it pretty good. a foreign automaker has to pretty much build a model specifically for the US... so that cuts out competition. they sold suv's with huge profit margins, and they still fucked it up. we need to go back to the way corporations used to have to behave. they had to pay taxes, had to treat their employees fairly and every 50 years they had to dissolve, sell off assets and if they wanted to, re-incorporate. they all deserve to go to hell imo all these cries of socialism please, such BS anything that isn't strict Laissez-faire capitalism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laissez-faire) or direct fascism (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism) in this country gets called socialist and welfare state. i'm so fucking sick of it. i am 23 years old and this reganomics nonsense for the past 30 years has screwed up any future i might have. whine and bitch about obama all you want. is he perfect? hell no but it beats any alternative at the moment. ... having said that, any diversification of the American auto market is welcome. Let Fiat sell cars here, I'd check them out. I'll probably end up buying another VW but still.
  24. Never had an opportunity to use it till today. Mounted it inside the drivers side tail lamp housing and used a rear fog switch from an 84 505 wagon I found in a parts yard, placed it down by the cruise control switch. I know that isn't where they go on the 505's in the UK but it's close enough for my purposes.
