Johnny
Is there any way to get rid of these guys (or bots) that spread porn-links on our forum? Maybe there is possible to add a feature that makes you unable to send links until you've posted a number of posts? I've seen it on other forums. It's getting kind of annoying now that it is so frequent..
V-M
Ad some simple question in sign in page, like "which Peugeot model did have turbo in 1985" Or something else... V-M
Johnny
Yeah, that should do the trick. I've sent a mail to the admin, it seems like he hasn't been logged in for a while.
brownie
Ad some simple question in sign in page, like "which Peugeot model did have turbo in 1985" Or something else... V-M It's really getting out of hand indeed. A question is a good idea. That way we get rid of the spambots, although the above question is easy to guess for real persons. (By the way, there are two answers possible!!) On the Dutch Peugeotforum (PHP) it is also possible to block certain IP-asdress. We had no more spambots the last half year. It seems that they often come from the same computer.
webmaster
It's been something we've been dealing with for a few months now. I'm sure some of you have noticed a few posts here and there, but they are usually deleted, and the users are banned right after registration is complete and the first post is on the forum. Over the last week this has been getting more and more out of control, and of course last night was the worst. All the posts are gone and users are banned, but I'm planning on getting something setup this AM to try to prevent this from happening again/as much. Big apologies all. And thanks for the E-Mail Johnny.
webmaster
Alright, the few things we've setup seem to be working well. If there are any other breakdowns in the future please do email us (thanks Johnny), as there are times we check email more frequently then the forum.
