This car got the 122hp motronic cat engine XU9JAZ and not the iconic 130hp LE2-Jetronic XU9JA, probably easy to maintain with the motronic and can probably pass californian a smog test. Production numbers and remaining 309 registerd (by who?) looks like vendor bullshit but yes a car with low mileage, 122hp engine and A/C is rare. If you wanted to import one from europe the GTI16 would have been a better choice either with the XU9J4Z or the not environment friendly 160hp XU9J4.
