  2. I sure will I'm hopping we get a good turn out of diesels we're close to plastering the nashville area with adverts since we're not doin pre registration we have no idea of what or how meny cars will be here and Stacey David was on campus yeaterday and said he might come out for the show so who knows what he might bring with him

  4. Well the compression sounds good for an old engine and the gap sounds good on the plugs the o2 being lazy shouldn't be the cause if the mass air is like GMs then if you un plug it at idle it should smooth out but as far as i know only the GMs did it so i dont know if it will work on your car but you can always try it and as for checking with vacuum with the injectors killed and cranking the engine is just fine and if you have egr system on the car still i would check it out and make sure its not dumping exhaust gas into the intake at idle
  5. I would also check your gaps on all the spark plugs and if you can get a vacuum gauge on it and see if there is any erratic bouncing should be uniform through out the fire order if needed i will try to get you some views of what it should look
  6. Oh yea i plan on running a complete new wire harness like i said it will also have all the newer emissions stuff except the scr system aka a nox reduction catalyst im just not sure yet of which engine/trans set up i want but i am goin to take the car down to the shell and build it up to take the torque and hp with adjustable suspension a little fender well cutting on the rear to provide room for some extra wide tyres and then I'll work in a full harness and computers for the engine/trans controllers i plan on putting in quite a bit of money and time into it but i figured its something that will be a car i could take anywhere and throw it around on the track then drive home i might go for something a little lower in power but i want a common rail engine for sure because of the tune ability of the system i am kinda looking for the best of both fuel mileage and performance and with most systems hitting 25k+ psi for the injection pump and the new injectors are hitting 7 sprays per combustion cycle you can't get as good as that for a diesel using a mechanical pump by the time everything's said and done it will be a car that will last another 20 years
  7. Im looking into different diesel right now im planning on it being a common rail system capable of multipluse injection and will be running a dpf on it as well so probably a v6 or maybe something a lil bigger with a automatic trans with manual valve body i am wanting a power plant that will produce somewhere close to 400bhp and 700ftlbs
  8. Oh i know how hard they are to find that's one of the reasons im doin a retro type mod out of it so it will have that old (beautiful) body but it will be like a new car on the underside with 50 state legal emissions
  9. Currently in Nashville but in a couple months ill be goin home to Florida
  10. Hello everyone just wanted to drop in and introduce myself my names Jordan and my first car was a 86 505 wagon with the 2.5 td unfortunately i had to get rid of it because of water locking the engine and not having the money or experience to fix it wish i would have now but i am currently goin to nadc to become a diesel technician and once i get out and get the money saved up im goin to be looking for a new project car and after hard thought about it i decided on a 505 sedan i love the body lines on them and most people have no idea about how awesome they are and no idea what they are it makes it a great choice for me
