billbranch
A few weeks ago during a really cold snap here, I managed to have the sludge in my crankcase ventilation hoses freeze up, and the sump puked a couple of quarts of oil out the dipstick tube. I hadn't driven the car since, and last Thursday I took "her" to work. On the drive home, the coolant hose which runs from the autobox to the radiator developed a small leak, and the coolant pee'd its way out all the way home. The engine did not overheat, but ran hotter than normal, which I attributed to the 65°F weather. At least five quarts to fill. Now, the car runs fine, except when hot, after sitting, it acts as if it's not getting gas, like it's sucking air for about five seconds. Then it's OK. Does anyone have any ideas what I may have screwed up, based on where the oil spilled out and where the coolant sprayed out? Thank you for any ideas.
