  1. 89 Peugeot 505 with lots of spare parts I have an 89 Peugeot 505 up for sale due to growing family. It needs plug wires in order for it to run, registration expired 2/08 so it is not too far back. Has the rare 2.8l prv v6 developed by Peugeot Renault and Volvo and used in the DeLorean. Fully loaded for a 89 with power everything and even heated leather seats. I also have a full parts car (88 year model) that I have already taken some parts off of to use on this car. The car needs some body work but i have all the prats nedded, and would be very neat and unique to restore. The 89 has a clean title however the 88 parts car I bought from the wreckers as junked I was going to fix it up and keep it and if I took the time (which I dont have with a new baby) to put it together with what I have, I could probabley get twice what i am asking for. Take both this and the parts car for $500. I will not sell the two separately, but if you do not want the parts car I will call the wrecker to pick it up and have it junked, I will not sell individual parts. Thanks so much for looking, and feel free to email me with any questions! i can send pics will [email protected]
  2. soory i havent updated anyone in a while i tried to get the parts rig to start yesterday and the starter is out in it so i cannot guarantee any mechanical parts, i also have not had time to take pics eurotrash - as far as the door trim i probably have one i will look this afternoon i live about 4 hours north of sf bay area on us 101 so a pu for someone in that area or even meet midway in ukiah or santa rosa may be consirdered i also plan on taking a trip to la in the next 6 month to a year so if there is no hurry i can deliver durring that time or a person could pay shipping for whatever they need
  3. hey i'm new to this forum and the peugeot world and just wanted to introduce myself and my car i have a 89 505 s v6 that i bought for $1 and has some colission dammage but not beyond repair but runs good needs plug wires and probably a complete tuneup has a few electrical issues but what do you expect for a european car that is almost 20 years old and been sitting for a while and an 88 505 turbo that i just saved from the crusher that has a near perfect body and nice leather seats that i am going to use as a donor for the v6 ny other cars include an 99 chevy lumina (my wifes car) and a 83 toyota supra that i am about to put an engine in and sell it back to the friend i bought it from i hope to find a wealth of info on here and maybe even contribute as i gain more experience in the nice yet rare classics
  4. thanks bill i thought that might be the case but i wanted to make sure before i wasted a whole weekend on what could be a lost cause this gives me hope not to find out if the reason it was sent to scrap was for a bad starter or for something else... the saga continues
  5. I have just purchased a parts car i am going to strip and offer what i dont need up here it is a 88 sedan and has a complete 2.2L turbo engine and 5 speed transmission that i know for sure i am going to sell as soon as i find out whether or not it runs and get it pulled if there is anything you need just ask and i will see if i have it i live on the north coast of California near the Oregon border but will ship anywhere in the continental US as long as the buyer pays shipping costs things i am looking for is the body kit that came on the 89 in specific i need the front bumper cover and passenger side running board due to mine having been damaged in an accident, sunroof cable, power window and seat heater switches, as well as other small stuff that i will list as the need becomes apparent i will post pics of what i have as it becomes available and keep everyone updated on the status of the engine
  6. ok so i have a 88 turbo i just picked up for parts for my 89 v6 i mostly need body and cosmetic stuff off it and want to sell or trade what i dont need to cushion the cost of purchasing the parts car i bought it from a local wrecking yard and the ignition had been jamed from someone trying to pick the ignition switch so i had to drill and chisel out the old one to unlock the steering in order to move it so the old unit is totally ruined now i tried to put the switch from my 89 into it to test the engine and mechanics on it and it would not even try to start my question is is there a resister in the switch that allows only the unit installed from the factory to be used with it or should i be looking at other ignition, starter, relay problems i tested the 2 thin wires in the switch and it seemed to be the case and if that is the case then what do i do this was purchased at a scrap yard so who knows why it was put there other than it seems not many people in the area that i live in have any respect for peugeots
