I have an intermittent issue with my 208.
Its happens every month or so. Its my daily driver. I drive 35 km each way to and from work mostly on the freeway ! (110 km/h)
When I have been driving for 20-25 minutes or so the engine starts running really rough. At first I thought it was a wheel puncture or I lost some of the weights on one wheel ! But they are ok.
Now warning light in dashboard.
When I shut off the cruise control the shaking stops immediately. If I apply the gas pedal and accelerate the shaking stops!.
It has happens 3 times so far. Every time the outside temperature has been around or above 20 degrees C. Tank was 1/2 full today when it happen.
The two other times I didnt notice how full the tank was !
I took the next off ramp and checked the car but could find nothing wrong. Waited for 10 minutes. Drove on. It had a little of the shaking at one point.
I have had the car for two years ! It has only driven 65.000 km. I drive like an old man, does not push the engine in any way !
Im baffled and dont know what it could be ! My only thought at this point, maybe the tank is to tight and creates a vacuum and holds back the fuel ! The next coupple of times im going to remove the cap and put it back before driving.
