I'm selling my 505T Diesel and have a question. How can I find out if the turbo is working? How can I find out if the wastegate is turning and where is the wastegate?

thanks for the heads up on my listing. It is an automatic that shifts great and has never given me any problems shifting. I live in middle Georgia, south of Macon Georgia. The odometer doesn't work so can't vouch for the mileage but the odometer is 118550 miles now. The car sat for 10 years I was told but again can't vouch for that one way or another.

I have a 1983 505S turbo Diesel silver edition I am putting up for sale. I got a small pickup truck for my daily driver and will sell my Peugeot. I have been running it for 5 months since my Ford was drinking to much fuel. She needs some work but will get you where you need to go. She will run but seems to have a vacuum leak as she is slow to start and I changed all 4 glow plugs. No AC but everything is there if you want to fix it and the cruise is there to but also not working.The body is really good except for 2 places on the hood. Other than that the body is perfect. I had wanted to restore her but lack of money changed that. I'm asking $2000 but will consider all offers. I have more pictures if you want to see them just ask. I'm replacing a transmission line and am wondering what kind of transmission fluid to use to replace the fluid that leaked out. I have a 1983 505 s Diesel with an automatic transmission

Ok, figured out where the oil filter is but that created another problem. Looks like they made it a remote filter location. Does Peugeot offer a remote location or do owners do the remote? Also I can't find the proper oil filter according to the NAPA part number. I ended up putting a filter that fit on the remote location. The number on the NAPA filter was a 128E which doesn't crossover to anything.

Getting ready to change the oil in my 1983 505 turbo diesel and wondered where the oil filter is located. I see a screw on filter of some sort on the drivers side of engine. Somebody replaced the fuel filter with an inline filter and i'm wondering if I need to go back to the original filter. Pro's and cons for going back to the original fuel filter.

Well, I know what the noise is now. The passenger side front strut has died a slow death. I took it to the neighbors and put it on his lift where we could see the struts and the right side one shows it is history. Now, where do I look for one at a good price?

I have a 505t Diesel that has developed a knock that sounds like the front end is going to fall out. I pulled the passenger side front wheel and everything seems tight so now I'm wondering what or where the noise is coming from.
