It was a great help to know that "it might not be blue" (it is black with a white base), and it's always best to search for things under the dash in the daylight rather than at night with a flashlight. I have repaired a damaged soldered connection on the relay's circuit board and my belovèd Peugeot is back on the road.

I am hoping someone here can tell me the location of the tachymetric fuel pump relay on my 1985 505S Break with XN6 engine and 5-speed gearbox. I found what I thought was the relay, next to the steering column, but I have decided that the one I found is the timer for the intermittent wipers, and that's no help at all for my current problem. I have looked pretty carefully in the area and I just don't see a blue relay. Thanks in advance.
