    a/c

there's the expansion valve block which is connected to the evaporator, i'm not sure which way it goes- with the bigger hole (outlet to compressor) in the left or right.

hello does it matter how the expansion valve block is connected to the evaporator, ie- the returning line to the compressor in the left side or the right side? thx
  4. hello i removed the expansion valve and don't remember how to put it back- should the bigger hole (compressor hose) be to the left or to the right? thx
  5. hello are the front cross-members the same for power and manual steering? if not- is it possible to fit a manual rack to the power steering cross-member? thx
  6. brian can you post a picture of it? thx
  7. hello i'm looking for speedometer cable for 1984 505 gasoline automatic, not turbo, not V6, should be 1 piece cable. thx
  8. the one on top of the housing, which has a string stuck in the fins of the evaporator.
  9. Well job is done. My dilemma now is which way round to connect the 2 wires to the thermostat. Is it matter? There are no marks of L and 0 on it, but three numbers. Thx
  10. bill, can you share the manual with us?
  11. i mean the panel that covers all the electricity beneath the steering column. thx
  12. because in the factory a/c car the housing is larger and the air duct from the blower is wider than in after market a/c car, which i believe is meant to compensate for the restriction of air caused by the evaporator.
  13. is it possible to replace only the evaporator housing?
  14. hi ahing6, i didn't get to it yet. thx for the pics, i think they will help
  15. they are 85 and 84. i'm talking about the entire central box, where air is distributed, with the heater core and all the flaps. i want to do that mainly because in the a/c car the air duct from the blower motor and the box which it connects to are much bigger so there must be a better air flow. in my car the air flow is lousy, probably because it's not meant to cope with the presence of the evaporator. thing is in my car there's poor access from the engine compartment, and the isolating cover only makes it worse, so unless i remove the cyl. head it can only be done from inside the car,
  16. Hello I bought for spares a 85 505 with a factory a/c. My driving 505 has an after market a/c, where the heater block is smaller and the air duct from the blower motor is thinner, and the air flow is insufficient. Is it possible to install the factory a/c block in the non a/c car? And how do i remove it? Does it comes out from inside the car? Do i need to remove the dash or only the lower parts? Any tips will be appreciated
  17. what about running the oil thorugh both the radiator and the cooler?
  18. hi guys what do you reckon about adding an external oil cooler for the auto tranny? thx
  19. hello how can the ventilation panel be removed? i unscrewed the 4 upper torx screws but it still won't go. the blower seems to be too weak even in circulation mode. in 1st speed air is barely coming out, and even in 4th speed the stream from the side vents is lousy. is it normal or something is wrong? thx
  20. hello i'm after 505 mk1 (1984) heater blower (motor+ fan) in good nick and have it posted to israel. thx
